EMBARK ANDLIVE THE ESTUARY Would you like to discover the Vigo estuary from the sea? We propose two ways to do so: one is using the regular ferry services across the estuary connecting Vigo to Cangas, Moaña and the Cíes Islands. The other way to explore the Vigo estuary is by rent-ing your own boat, with or without a skipper, to sail at your own leisure without being subjected to any timetables. Whichever plan you choose, you will en-ter one of the most spectacular bays in the world, a unique ecosystem, with its mussel farms; and if you’re lucky, you will sail with the dolphins that live in the Vigo estuary, called arroaces.

TRIP FROM VIGO TO MOAÑACross the estuary on the ferry to MoañaMoaña is a town in O Morrazo, very near to Vigo by ferry: the trip lasts only 15 minutes, much less than by road. Take advantage of the regular estuary transport to explore the coast of the Vigo estuary.

TRIP TO THE CÍES ONNABIA NAVIERAVisit the islands using the maritime estuary transportThe Cíes Islands, Vigo’s main tourist attraction, are a natural paradise, ideal to enjoy their fabulous beaches and fantastic hiking trails. Regular ferry services ena-ble you to visit them at a reasonable price.

TRIP FROM VIGO TO CANGASFrom shore to shore across the estuary on a regular fer-ry servicePublic transport in the estuary offers the opportunity to cross over from Vigo to O Morrazo peninsula in 20 minutes, as opposed to more than 40 minutes needed by road. If you decide to take the trip from Vigo to Can-gas you may do so all the year round: there’s a ferry ap-proximately every 15 minutes. It is the most inexpensive way to sail in the estuary.
