GENERAL REGULATIONS FOR ALL SECTIONS1. No entry will be accepted unless

a. Completed on the official and appropriate form signed by the exhibitor or an authorised agent and complying in every respect with these

Regulations and with any conditions that may be specified in the Schedule

b. Accompanied by the appropriate entry fees.

c. Received at the Society offices on or before the closing date

2. Entry fees are non-refundable.

3. All classes are unrestricted unless otherwise stated in the Schedule

4. The same animal may be entered in more than one class, where eligible, on payment of the entry fee for each class. Every exhibit must be the bona

fide property of the exhibitor at the time of the entry and continue to be so up to and including the first day of the Show.

5. The Society, Council, or duly authorised Committee may reject or may authorise the removal of any animal or other exhibit from the Show without

being in any way liable for compensation.

6. The Veterinary Surgeons shall be empowered to expel from the Showground any animal, which in their opinion is suffering from or affected by any

contagious or infectious disease likely to prove harmful to other animals, or any animal which in their opinion is unfit for exhibition. The Veterinary

Surgeons shall issue a certificate recording their findings.

7. The Society reserves the right to cancel any classes if it has insufficient entries or if there are exceptional circumstances.

8. All exhibits and persons in charge of stock at the Show shall be subject to the Orders of the Honorary Show Director and Stewards. Exhibitors or their

servants who fail to observe the orders of the Society's Officers or the Society's Rules, By-Laws and Conditions of Entry or who may be guilty of any

misconduct shall render themselves liable to forfeit any prize money awarded and to have disqualified each and every entry. All attendants should be

attired according to accepted standards.

9. Exhibitors will be held responsible for the behaviour of their servants and for the consequences of any misconduct on their part.

10. Judging will commence, as near as circumstances allow, at the times stated in the Schedule under the respective sectional headings and exhibitors

will be held responsible for their exhibits being in the judging ring at the proper time.

11. A Judge may withhold any prize or prizes if, in his/her opinion, an exhibit is of insufficient merit or standard.

12. Exhibitors must present their rosette to the light horse office to collect their prize money on the day of the class. Only verified entries will be paid out

for.

13. The decision of the Judges will in all cases be final.

14. In the case of a difference of opinion between Judges, the Senior Steward of the section shall be empowered to appoint an umpire, whose decision

shall be final. In the event of any Judge being unable to complete the judging of the classes for which he/she is officiating, the appointment of his/her

deputy shall be made in the same way.

15. Council Members and Committee Members may exhibit providing that wherever possible someone else does so on their behalf.

16. The Council or its duly authorised Committee reserve the right to appoint additional or substitute Judges after the publication of the original

appointments given in the Schedule.

17. An animal that is individually entered in and eligible for an appropriate class in the Schedule may compete without payment of further fee for any

championship or special prize for which it is also eligible.

18. Only rosettes and awards won at the Society's current Show may be displayed on any exhibit.

19. All objections must be made in writing and lodged with the Secretary within 1 hour of the completion of the appropriate class. The objector must at

the same time lodge a sum of £50 cash in the hands of the Secretary, and this deposit shall be forfeit if the Council or its duly authorised Committee

consider the objection to be frivolous. If the protest is sustained the prize awarded to the exhibitor shall be forfeited and the matter dealt with as the

Council or its duly authorised Committee shall determine and the deposit returned to the objector.

20. When a protest is lodged against an exhibit with reference to height, the Senior Steward of the section shall call in one of the Society's Veterinary

Surgeons to measure the animal. In the event of an appointed Veterinary Surgeon not being available, the Senior Steward shall thereupon call in a

qualified Veterinary Surgeon to measure the animal on behalf of the Society, and the decision of the officiating Veterinary Surgeon shall be final. The

animal shall be measured with or without shoes, as shown before the Judges, and if the shoes have been removed, feet pared or in any way altered

or tampered with after leaving the judging ring, the exhibitor shall forfeit such prizes that may have been awarded. If the animal objected to, has a

height certificate, then the Joint Measurement Scheme Rules will be adhered to.

21. All exhibitors and their servants shall be governed by the Rules and Regulations of the Society as interpreted by the Stewards and Officials and in the

event of any dispute the Society reserves to itself by its Council or its duly authorised Committee the sole and absolute right to settle arbitrarily and

determine on all matters, questions or differences in regard thereto or otherwise arising out of or connected with or incidental to the Show.

22. The Society reserves to itself by its Council the sole and absolute right of determining the withholding or cancelling of the Show in whole or in part if

in the Council's opinion circumstances so require. It also reserves the right to reschedule, in part or in whole any classes, at any other time.

23. The Council or its duly authorised Committee shall be empowered to adopt in connection with any section at the Society's Annual Show any

association or club rules if thought advisable.

24. The Society, its Officers or Servants shall not be responsible to any person whatsoever while upon the Society's premises, or while entering or leaving

the same for any damage or loss, however caused, to the property of any such persons or for any injury, fatal or otherwise, to any such person.

25. The Society, its Officers, or Servants shall not be responsible for any accident, damage or loss however caused, that may occur to any exhibitor or his

servants, or to any animal, article or property brought into the Showground, or while entering or leaving or being carried into or out of the

Showground. Each exhibitor shall be solely responsible for any loss, injury or damage that may be done to, or occasioned by, or arising from any

animal, article or property exhibited or brought onto the Showground by him, and he shall indemnify and hold harmless the Society from and against

all actions, suit, expenses and claims on account of or in respect of any such damage or injury which may be so caused or occasioned.

26. In accordance with the Health and Safety legislation all livestock exhibitors/stock attendants and equestrian exhibitors/competitors/grooms must

now comply with the above. Horse walks have been laid out by the Society and it is imperative that both ridden, driven and in-hand horses and

donkeys keep within these designated routes and take guidance from Officials or Stewards at crossing points etc.

27. Total separation between horses and the general public may in certain instances be impossible and it is suggested that if an exhibitor has a

nervous/highly strung animal he/she should consider whether it is prudent for him/her to risk bringing this animal to a busy agricultural show.

EQUINE FLUThe Society recommends that all exhibitors of horses and ponies have their animals inoculated against Equine Flu and carry their Certificate of Inoculation at all

times.

INTERPRETATION OF CONDITIONSThe Society reserves to itself by its Council or any duly authorised Committee the sole and absolute right to interpret these or any other prescribed conditions

and regulations, or prize sheets and to arbitrarily settle and determine all or any matters, questions or differences in regard thereto or otherwise arising out of

or connected with or incidental to the Show. Also to refuse or to cancel any entries, disqualify exhibitors, prohibit exhibition of entries, vary or cancel awards of

prizes or reserved numbers and relax conditions, as the Society may deem expedient. By order of the Society Council

accordance with the current standard listed below:

SAFETYThe organisers of this Show have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective,

everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and

stewards. Anyone not complying will be ask to leave the Showground.

DOPE TESTSThe presence in any form or quantity, in a horse being shown in Ridden Hunter, Working Hunter or Hunter Breeding classes, of a substance which could, by its

nature affect its performance is forbidden. The SHB (GB)(HIS) and judges appointed by it, may cause tests to be carried out at any affiliated Show, or otherwise

to determine whether this condition has been breached, the findings whereof shall be forwarded to the Rules Committee for further consideration.

QUALIFIER FOR TSR SHOWING FINALSTSR Showing Finals - This show is a qualifier for the 2018 TSR Showing Finals. Qualify and enter ANY of the Finals Central, East Anglia, North West, North East, South East, South, Wales & South West or Scottish. You Do Not have to be a TSR member to qualify or enter a final. The Rider/Handler qualifies and can enter any horse/pony in any number of Finals! TSR Riders Finals - 1st & 2nd riders qualify and will receive a qualification card in the ring.

TSR In Hand Finals - The two highest placed Handlers with a TSR In Hand Card will qualify in any In Hand class. Handlers MUST have their cards signed in the ring

by the judge/steward, cards are available FREE from the TSR website. Full details at http://www.theshowingregister.co.uk/

TSR Medal Awards - TSR members can collect qualification cards & signatures and redeem for a TSR Medal see TSR website for details.

BSHA Grass Roots Champs - With a TSR qualification card you can also enter the BSHA Grass Roots Champs in Sept at Addington Equestrian Centre - You do not

have to be a BSHA member to qualify or enter the final. See www.britishshowhorse.org

This show is a qualifier for the Ponies UK Spring Classic 2019. 1st, 2nd & 3rd prize winners in the appropriate classes will qualify for the Gold Medal Series to take place in March 2019. Results will be verified by the office.

ponies, Open Intermediate SH, SRT & WH, Open Heritage classes. The highest placed pony that has not qualified for the 2018 Horse of the Year Show in the

appropriate class, will qualify. If the highest placed pony has already qualified for the BSPS Challenge the qualification will be awarded to the next eligible pony.

If after qualifying for the Challenge a pony qualifies for HOYS it will forfeit its qualification for the “BSPS Challenge”. Animals may qualify for both the Blue

Ribband of the Year and the Challenge, but must select which competition they compete in at the B.S.P.S. Championships show. They may not compete in the

same class in the BSPS Challenge & the Blue Ribband of the Year. Cradle Stakes & Lead Rein of Hunter type. The highest placed pony that has not qualified for

the BSPS Challenge will qualify, if the highest placed pony has already qualified the qualification will go to the next eligible pony. The final will be held at the

B.S.P.S. Summer Championships Show.

4 years of age which are registered in the correct Arab Horse Society stud book. The highest placed previously unqualified horses within the top THREE placings

with a current qualification card will qualify for the finals. No qualification for the Series will be passed down in the event of a qualified exhibit withdrawing for

any reason. Each horse wishing to qualify by entering the class must have a RASS card which must be signed by the judge in the ring. Cards may not be brought

To be judged in accordance with 2018 SHB (GB) Rules – The maximum total points available is 100. This is made up of: Jumping points = Max 40 points, Style &

Presence whilst Jumping = Max 20 points, Ride/Manners = Max 20 points, Conformation = max 20 points. Fences to be a minimum of 8, maximum of 12 in

number and a maximum height of 1.14m (3ft 9ins), at the discretion of the judge. Fences should have a natural appearance and not be easily dislodged. All

obstacles to be numbered. The manner of going to be taken into account. No change of rider or tack will be allowed. A skullcap or hat, and safety harness

according to the current approved BSI or European Standard must be worn by ALL competitors in the jumping phase. Horses may be equipped with boots of a

plain colour in the jumping phase only. Rigid or weighted hind boots are not allowed. Working hunter courses are not to be walked by competitors until the judge

This class is included in the S.H.B.(G.B) in the North West Ridden Points Competition. Points will be awarded to 1st - 4th places in each class. Horses can

BLUE CHIP & IDHS (GB) £2,000 CHALLENGE

This show is a Qualifier for the THE BLUE CHIP and IDHS (GB) £2000 CHALLENGE. The highest placed horse (not already qualified) from the following Class (167)

will qualify for the Final of the Blue Chip & IDHS (GB) £2,000 Challenge which will be held at the IDHS (GB) Annual Breed Show N.B: A horse may only qualify for

the Final once, regardless of the type or number of classes won, placed in or entered. Each qualifier will receive a card and a £10 voucher from Blue Chip.

Qualifiers are required to complete an online form at www.idhsgb.com to inform the IDHS (GB) that they have qualified for the Final. In the Final, the Champion

will be awarded £1,000 prize money, a trophy and a Blue Chip rug. The Reserve Champion will be awarded £500 and 3rd to 11th inclusive will be awarded £100

each. In addition, the highest placed Pure Bred Irish Draught will receive a trophy and £100, the highest placed 158cm (15.2hh) and under will receive a trophy

and £50 and the highest placed Amateur Produced and Ridden Horse will receive a silver salver and a rug.
