NOTICE OF RACE

1 RULES

1.1 The regatta will be governed by the rules as defined in The Racing Rules of Sailing.

1.2 No national authority prescriptions will apply.1.3 The class rules, This Notice of Race (as amended by the Sailing Instructions), The Sailing

Instructions, and handicaps issued by TLYC for PY Handicaps will apply.

2 ADVERTISING

2.1 Boats may be required to display advertising chosen and supplied by the organizing authority.

2.2 Boats displaying advertising maybe required to remove it if it conflicts with Regatta sponsors.Competitors may receive pre-approval for advertising by contacting the organizer prior to finalregistration.

3* ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRY DISCOUNTS

3.1 The regatta is open to all boats of all classes.

3.2 TLYC members in good standing may avail of a pre registration discount:

by completing the attached form and submitting it, together with P500, to the TLYC bar:- by Nov 1 - to avail of a P500 discount- by Nov 1 by email or at the club, without deposit - to avail of a P300 discount- by Nov 15 - to avail of P150 discount

4 CLASSIFICATION

Classes are: Hobie 16 open, Hobie 16 Masters, Hobie 16 B fleet, Open PY. Tentative classesare CR13, Topper, Bravo, Homebuilt PY, Catamaran PY,. Boats will receive their finalclassification at registration. Classes may be organized when there are 3 or more boats toconstitute a class, or at the discretion of the organizer.

5 FEES

5.1 Required fees at final registration:

Class Fees- Before early registrationdiscounts

One person boats P2500

Two Person boats P4500

Entry Fee Includes:

Race fee for one open class,

Individual: Commemorative T-shirt, Commemorative engraved glass for each non placingskipper and crew, Commemorative cap, Saturday Lunch at TLYC or packed lunch, SaturdayDinner at Balai Isabel with open bar of limited drinks from 7PM -10PM, Sunday breakfast 7AM-9AM at TLYC, Limited open bar at 4PM awards presentation.

5.2 Other fees:

ADDITIONAL CLASS RACE FEE: P500 for entry into additional classes.EXTRA CREW: P1800- includes all events and items

PAY AS YOU GO: for non racers- Social events, T-shirts, etc will be available toguests or instead of registering as extra crew. Prices forthese will be available at registration.

6 GOVERNORS CUP AND FINAL SERIES

The Round Taal Volcano Regatta will consist of a maximum of 7 races inclusive of theGovernors Cup. The Governors Cup will likely be the First race as scheduled below, that is therace around Taal Volcano for the Hobies, and to Bubuin Island, for other boats.

6.1 One drop is allowed if more than 6 races are sailed. The Governors cup race cannot be dropped.

7 SCHEDULE

7.1 Final registration, will start at TLYC on Friday, Nov 25 from 5PM to 9PM and on Saturday, Nov.26 from 830 AM to 930AM.

7.2 Those wishing to race on Sunday only, may register late Saturday, or on Sunday, at the barbefore racing. Those participating in events on either Saturday only, or Sunday only, are entitledto a 30% discount over and above any early bird discount.

9 SAILING INSTRUCTIONS

The sailing instructions will be available at registration. They can also be emailed upon requestfrom [email protected].

10 VENUE

10.1 The Venue is Taal Lake, with start locations near Taal Lake Yacht Club, and Balai Isabel, inTalisay, Batangas

11 THE COURSES

The courses to be sailed will be in attachments to the Sailing Instructions. Except for theGovernors Cup, the courses are designed to be completed in 45 minutes by most boats in eachclass.

12 PRIZESPrizes will be given as follows:

Saturday Night: Governors Cup

Sunday: Balai Isabel Round Taal Volcano Regatta

1st, 2nd, 3rd Prizes for classes with over 6 boats

Other prizes at the discretion of the Organizing Committee

13 DISCLAIMER OF LIABILITY

Competitors participate in the regatta entirely at their own risk. See rule 4, Decision to Race. Theorganizing authority will not accept any liability for material damage or personal injury or deathsustained in conjunction with or prior to, during, or after the regatta.
