This memorandum accompanies shipment of copies of thesubject files as per your request of October 8, 2003.

New York TRACON management, in conjunction with QualityAssurance personnel, has completed the review of facilityvoice recordings surrounding the events of September 11,2001. Recorded transmissions of 64 facility operationalpositions were reviewed for the time period 1200 UTC until1600 UTC (0800 until 1200 EST) on September 11, 2001.Approximately 25 of the 64 positions were found t o _ h a v etransmissions pertinent to the events of that day. Thefollowing is an index of the re-recordings being retainedby the New York TRACON.

The Potomac TRACO N(PCT) was not a commissioned facility on S eptember11, 2001.The facility did not provide any air traffic services duringthe incidents of that date, no rany follow-up support.

All 911-related recordsand packages that were generatedat the Washington MetropolitanArea air traffic facilities, that later consolidated intoPCT, were retained at the respectiveoriginating facilities.

We are unaware of any files or records retained at PCT relating to the events of

September11,2001.
