A unique combination of server-specific features are built into the core design of the Intel T440BX
server board and the Intel 82440BX AGPset, enabling them to deliver unmatched reliability,
manageability and expandability. The T440BX server board supports the processing power of
Pentium II processors running at 400 MHz or 350 MHz with 100-MHz system bus, and Pentium II
processors running at 333 MHz, 300 MHz or 266 MHz with 66-MHz system bus. In addition, the
T440BX server board supports up to 768 MB of 100-MHz SDRAM DIMM memory.
Intels new Emergency Management Port and Intel Server Control provide remote server access for
quick troubleshooting, repair and real-time server management. The T440BX server boards integrated
single-channel ultra-SCSI, Intel EtherExpress PRO/100+ LAN Controller (Intel 82558) and PCI Video
with 2 MB SGRAM provides greater flexibility and expandability for the three PCI, one ISA, and
one PCI/ISA shared slots and an AGP port.
Intel extensively tests and validates the T440BX server board for server environments. Two CD-ROMs
are includedone with drivers, documentation and diagnostic utilities, and the other with server
management software. With these unique features, the server board provides you a reliable, manageable
and expandable server solution to meet your customers demanding business needs.

Intel has designed Pentium II processors forease of integration. In addition, the T440BXserver board has completed board-level testing, which includes stringent board vali-dation, stress tests and compatibility testing.Intel has already verified compatibility withoperating system software, hardware, chassisfit and proper thermal accommodation of thePentium II processor1. 1 All test results are available to authorized Intel dealers.
Lower ownership costs
The Intel T440BX server board, with its robust management features, lowers serverownership costs by enabling customers toanticipate problems before they become catastrophic. Intels new EmergencyManagement Port (EMP), for example, provides remote access through a modem, so service technicians can remotely observecritical-event logs and reset or power cycle the T440BX server system. The T440BX server board is specifically designed to support low-cost, intelligent RAID controllersthat support Level 0, 1, and 5 RAID and utilize the on-board SCSI controller.
The T440BX server board also incorporates a powerful on-board management controller and Intel Server Control, allowing monitoringand controlling of server temperatures andvoltages, chassis security, baseboard inventoryand other hardware systems.
Intel quality and reliability
Businesses of all sizes use servers based onIntel server boards to run mission-criticalapplications, databases and 24 x 7 Web sites.Intel designs its server boards to reduce downtime concerns through high integrationand robust signal integrity. Best of all, answersto support questions are just a phone call orWeb site visit away.
The power of the Pentium IIprocessor inside
When combined with the Intel Pentium IIprocessor, the T440BX server board providesusers with a stronger competitive advantage. The T440BX server board supports the fullrange of Pentium II processors availabletodaynew Pentium II processors running at400 MHz or 350 MHz with 100-MHz systembus, delivering even greater throughput onmemory and L2 cache access; and Pentium IIprocessors running at 333 MHz, 300 MHz or266 MHz with 66-MHz system bus.
Fast time-to-market
To help you build servers quickly, the Intel T440BX server board includes manynecessary server integration components rightin the boxa retention mechanism; SCSI,IDE, and floppy cables; two software-richCD-ROMsone with graphics, LAN andSCSI drivers and the other with server management software; a System Set-upUtility (SSU); and a complete set of documentation.
