One table with four leg configurations is a well-designed line of desking. Multiply it by 27" of height adjustability; add privacy screens andoverheads and the product is T4. Divide thiscomprehensive system by its price to arrive atyour office furniture solution.

The foundation of T4 is a 29" fixed height tablewith a steel leg assembly that is the essence ofdurability and simplicity of design. Its simplicity doesn’tlimit its applications, however. The unobtrusive legand foot anchor worksurface shapes from thecockpit to the conference peninsula.

The pin height adjustable table takes the T4 baseto the next level. Telescoping legs with springsteel buttons allow you to set the surface heightfrom 24-31" in one-inch increments. Nylon bushings ensure that the legs will glide smoothlywhether you adjust them once, once in a while,or once a day.

In an era of job-sharing, you may not be the onlyone your desk needs to accommodate. That'swhere the crank adjustable table comes in.Because it relies on a worksurface-mountedmechanical crank, this table can be adjusted uniformly from 22-33" or 27-43" in a sit/standversion, even under load. And because this tableis continuously adjustable across its range, you can find your perfect fit.

For the easiest adjustment over the greatestrange, T4 also boasts an electrically adjustabletable. Standard table controls regulate the heightfrom 24-51" with the push of a button, while anoptional deluxe controller also contains a digitalheight display and stores up to three presets.

Fixed height and adjustable tables can also becombined in a single workstation to create a sit-stand environment that will allow you to comfortably accomplish tasks from both a standing and seated position.

With all of its flexibility, the T4 table sets the tonefor an entire space dedicated to simple lines andmaximally functional furniture.

Privacy screens and overheads have turned the T4 line into a complete office system with the stylistic values of the signature table. Screensmount to table bases, providing privacy bothabove and below the worksurface withoutencroaching on desktop space.

Universal and Venus® Overheads put secure storage at your fingertips. Steel uprights supportthe cabinets, passing through grommets in theworksurface to attach securely to the fixed heighttable bases. For additional storage, Series XXIpedestal files can be used under any T4 desking.

Power and data management accessories alsoenhance the clean lines of T4. Mini cable traysroute stray cords behind table crossbraces.Similarly, wire troughs conceal components of the furniture's optional 10-wire electrical distribution system.

Making the most of that system are PowerUp®

modules, which bring data, telephone, and powerreceptacles to any T4 desktop. In addition to aduplex receptacle, each module contains twodata/comm jacks. When they are not in use, theentire module recess into the surface to leave anunobstructed work space.

Dual-adjustable worksurfaces also make work easier by providing a full-width keyboard platform.The front and rear sections of the surface can be adjusted independently or aligned as needed. The keyboard platform also tilts up to 15° to ease wrist strain.

The office environment is dynamic. In addition to priorities being shifted, duties reassigned, andprocedures modified, the way we do work haseven come into question. Whether you orchestratethese changes or are just carried along by them,T4 has features to keep pace with you.

In the past few years, research has focused on thenegative health effects of prolonged sitting at work,going so far as to call it the “sitting disease” and linksitting time to chronic conditions. With even theAmerican Medical Association calling for employersto provide alternatives to sitting1, the standing deskgained popularity, and quickly attracted the attentionof researchers who concluded that standing comeswith its own health effects including “strain on thecirculatory system, legs, and feet.”2

These waves have brought us to the current interest in sit-stand environments that encouragemovement and changes in position to reap thebenefits of both sitting and standing while avoidingthe negative effects of maintaining a stationary posture. T4 helps create these environments intwo ways.

Both the crank and electric height adjustable tablebases have vertical ranges of 16" or more, allowingyou to work comfortably in a seated or standingposition. These table mechanisms also operateeasily under load, allowing you to change theheight of your worksurface throughout the day to better suit your tasks.

In workstations that include more than one surface,you can also create a sit-stand environment thatdoesn’t require readjusting the height of your deskthroughout the day. Using tables of differentheights to establish separate zones for standing andsitting work will still keep you moving, but result infaster transitions between tasks and more efficiency.

As our use of technology and the way we workcontinues to evolve, the modern workspace willhave to evolve as well. Desking that anticipatesyour needs is the only answer for a workplace with variable demands.
