November 13-15, 2016 – The date to remember for the 23rd Annual Texas Rural

Chief Appraisers, Inc. Conference. The 23rd Annual TRCAi Conference will be held at

The Omni Austin South Park Hotel at 4140 Governor’s Row, Austin, TX 78744. The

telephone number to make your room reservations is 512- 448-2222.

Be sure to ask for the special TRCA room rate. Room rates this year are $109.00 for a

single or double. (Deadline: 10.21.16) Great rate!!!

If you book a room and decide you do not need the room, please contact BettyAnn at 512-791-

9998 or BAtrca@aol.com, so the room can be used by someone else.

USPAP Update: – As mandated by the Texas Department of License & Regulation. On

Sunday, prior to the Welcome Reception at the TRCA Conference, there will be a USPAP

Update by Tracey L. Foster, Attorney -Hugh L. Landrum & Associates, Inc. The USPAP Update will

be from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Tracey will also present a one hour Chief Appraiser Ethics

during the Conference.

Luncheon – Monday Noon will be the Awards Luncheon where the Troy Sloan Good Neighbor

Award for 2016 will be announced, the Top Hand will be revealed, the Guests will be introduced, and the Sponsors will be recognized. We encourage our sponsors to take their clients out any time other than the luncheon. We want you to enjoy the luncheon and spend time with other Appraisal Districts. It is important that we thank our Sponsors during the luncheon on Monday.

Welcome Reception – Sunday, 11.13.16 – 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. Pick up packets, check in

auction items, visit with other Districts from all over the State, learn the new rules on obtaining your favorite Silent Auction items and view Live Auction items.

Trade Show – New this year!!! As requested, the Trade Show times will be expanded. Plan to visit our Sponsors at the Trade Show Grand Opening at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

Auction Items – Again, this year, you will have an opportunity to

participate in the traditional “famous” TRCA auction. Start placing your bids for

Silent Auction items on Sunday, during the “welcome reception”. Live Auction

will be during the Sponsor Trade Show on Monday afternoon. Items for both

auctions may be checked in beginning on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.. Contact
