Community Activities

Tropical Wellness CenterNovember 2014 – March 2015 Internship – TechnicianDuring my time at Tropical Wellness Center I assisted nearly 30 patients with general mental and emotional counsel as well as their Daily Treatment Programs. This often including ensuring that patients were awake and fed in order to attend various personal and group therapy meetings throughout the day. I also served as the company chauffeur – driving patients to scheduled medical appointments as well as Alcoholics and Narcotics Anonymous meetings during the week. Multiple times a day I would administer prescribed medications as well as random drug screenings to ensure compliance with facility rules and regulations. On weekends I would accompany the clients on planned off-campus activities – taking them Paintballing, Bowling, to the Beach or Movie Theater.
