Transcript of T beam wsd method singly and doubly reinforcement
Welcome To The Presentation Based On T-beam :WSD Method Singly And
Doubly Reinforced
• Course Tile: Pre-stressed Concrete Sessional
• Course No. :CE 416
Presented by
Md. Muntasir Rahman
ID No. :10.01.03.045
T Beam
• Monolithically casted slab, part of slab act as a part of beam
• Resist longitudinal compression force in a positive moment zone and from a T-section
Figure : T beam
Taction
Where positive bending
moment occurs
Why T Beam occurs in +ve moment zone
In +ve moment zone T.Z situated in bottom part
and C.Z occurs in Top part .So ,The extra part
of slab Strengthen the C.Z
Type Based on Effective Flange Width
Type Based on Effective Flange Width
1)Beam having slabs on both sides
2)Beam having slabs on one side
3) Isolated beam
WSD method
The Design load is Actual load
Structure’s nominal Stress all should be in the elastic limit
Steel Sress strain curve
The material Stress must be in the elastic zone
WSD method
In WSD Method , Stress diagram always linear
Singly And Doubly Reinforced beam
From previous figure
• In singly Beam rebar is only in the tension zone
• doubly reinforcement is in both tension and compression zone ,because it can not develop the compressive force to resist the maximum moment .so, Additional rebar is added in the C.Z
