Network Deployment Manager
Using the NDM to Install System Mechanic on Networked
Workstations
Getting Started
• As with any other installation process, the first step is defining the installation requirements.
• Some basic questions that should be answered prior to installation are:– Are there different workgroups that may require custom System
Mechanic installations?– What permissions should be granted to each user group?– What ActiveCare settings should be enabled or disabled for each
workgroup?
• Once the requirements have been identified, the installation can begin.

Troubleshooting and Support
• If the installation of the MSI file fails, double-check that the System Mechanic Business activation key has been entered correctly and that the key is active. You can do this by accessing the System Mechanic installation file directly from the Distribution Builder folder and running the setup on one system using the activation key.
• If you are sure that the activation key is working, ensure that all workstations have at least temporary internet access. Internet access is required to validate the activation key on each workstation.
