System Installation Services
Bailoy offer the following services to assist the client or the contractor to install a new GTI-
EC irrigation system and this document gives an overview of those services.
For a more detailed description and scope of works, refer to bulletins and documents
listed in the Further Reading sections.
DOU Installation. 2-hour service.
Bailoy will send a technician to site to install the DOU or Controller ready for the GTI
installation. This may be done prior to or on the day of the system installation.
• We will consult with the client on the installation location
• Install the DOU in the chosen location
• Connect the course cables and earthing cable to the DOU
• Connect the DOU to the power

Tablet Cabinet Installation. 1-hour service.
If required, a Bailoy technician can install a separate lockable Tablet Enclosure next to the
DOU. This would only be required if the installation location is damp or additional security is
required for the tablet.
This may be done prior to or on the day of the system installation.

On-Site System Installation 200 Station. 1.5 Day Service.
A Bailoy technician will attend site to install the GTI-EC system. This service includes:
• Creation of the database
• Running system checks and diagnostics
• Post diagnostic database adjustments
• A written report on any issues or errors that need to be addressed
• Hand over and Basic Starter Level training.

A Bailoy technician will attend site to install the GTI-EC system. This service includes
• Creation of the database
• Running system checks and diagnostics
• Post diagnostic database adjustments
• A written report on any issues or errors that need to be addressed
• Hand over and Basic Starter Level training.

Off Site Database Creation 200 and 400 Station.
This service is offered to those clients who want to do most of the installation themselves but
require Bailoy to create the GTI database.
• The database will be created with the data supplied by the client
• Supplied on a memory stick which can be imported into the GTI software using the
“database backup and restore” utility.

Data Collection Service.
A Bailoy technician will come to site and collect all the required data to create a GTI database. The
technician will assess the entire course and collate the following information:
• Station locations and Decoder numbers
• Sprinkler head types, nozzle colours and spacing.
