• Syphilis is serious but curable disease caused by a bacteria called Treponema pallidum . It likes to live in human mouths and genital areas. It is also dangerous for the baby of a pregnant women.

symptons

• Symptoms are often described as flulike, with malaise, headache, fever, and joint aches. A skin rash often appears, covering most of the body. Sores may develop in the mouth and throat and on many of the mucous membranes in the body.

How to get it?

• You can get it by sexual intercourse

How to prevent it?

• You can prevent it by not having sexual intercourse.

How to treat it

• Penicillin is the preferred method of treatment for syphilis. Other antibiotics include erythromycin, tetracyclines, and chloramphenicol.
