    Synopsis for

    GSM based Home Security System

    Abstract: Home/ Bank/ Office security has been a major issue

    where crime is increasing and everybody wants to take proper

    measures to prevent intrusion. In addition there was a need to

    automate home so that user can take advantage of the

    technological advancement in such a way that a person getting off

    the office does not get melted with the hot climate.

    1. Introduction

    This project has 3 basic modules. First module of thisproject detects if person is entering in room. LC displayplaced outside the room displays this status. !nd ifperson has entered then bu""er is turned on. Second partof project ser#es the functionality of a door$latch openingusing a pass%ord entered through &eypad. !s %ell assending this data to a computer through serial port. Thismodule also turns on bu""er if 3 %rong pass%ords are

    entered conse'uently. (ser can change this pass%ordanytime he)she %ish using a &eypad. Third module usesL*G gas sensor to detect the gas lea&age. +f there islea&age then bu""er is turned on.GSM modem is used to send the SMS %hene#er there arechanges in any of the three modules.
