PROPOSED THEORYECLECTICISM

-A phenomenon occurred due to information explosion through mass media- convergence of different styles-It should be founded on requirements of function, hints of the place and the desires of symbolism, it should respond to the tastes of the users while, if it is radical, extending and challenging them with new meaning.

Mies Van de Rohe’s idea of modernism, which is “less is more”, figure 1.1, is strongly opposed by Charles Jencks idea of Eclecticism, which is shown in figure 1.2, because architecture should emcompass the pluralism that is our social and metaphysical reality.
