About The Sport
• Two sets of points: one for technical expertise and the other for artistic presentation.
Rules• Each team performs two
routines.• Each team has around the total
of nine athletes.
Technical Routine
• Made up of compulsory elements set in a order: 7 in a duet, and eight are in a team event.
• Duets have 2:20 minutes. • Teams have 2:50 minutes.
Free Choice Routine
• Swimmers present a routine of their own choice.
• Duets have a limit of 3:30 minutes.• Teams have 4:00 minutes.

• Nose clip.• Hair gelatin• Underwater speakers
Facts
• Synchronized swimming first became and Olympic sport at Los Angeles in 1984.
• One of the only three women only sports in the Olympics.
