posi
umStatement of NeedPain medicine is a unique branch of medicine that draws expertise from a large number of basic science and clinical disciplines. The knowledge base required for pain medicine board certification and practice is vast and overwhelming for a time constrained physician. Fellowship programs do not uniformly provide balanced exposure to all aspects of pain medicine. Scientific meetings are not geared towards a comprehensive review of the entire field. To fulfill this unmet need, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health faculty in pain medicine have developed a comprehensive pain review course taught by nationally recognized multidisciplinary expert faculty. The 10th Annual Comprehensive Pain Board Review Symposium improves on previous symposia and will be an intensive and up-to-date review of the field of Pain Medicine for physicians and health care providers, especially those seeking pain board certification or recertification in Pain Medicine.
target AudienceAny physician or health care provider seeking board certification in pain medicine, recertification, or who practice/incorporate pain management in their practice and are interested in expanding their knowledge and skills in the field of pain medicine.
