member of the prestigious and acclaimed Symbiosis International (Deemed) University (SIU).

A pioneer in the field of health education, SIHS has conceptualized and developed the innovative programme of MBA in

Hospital & Healthcare Management (MBA-HHM), that equips future healthcare and hospital managers to meet the goals

Symbiosis University Hospital & Research Centre (SUHRC)

Symbiosis University Hospital & Research Centre (SUHRC) is currently a 900 bedded hospital located within the SIU campus at

Lavale Hill Base, Pune. SUHRC is now a fully functional hospital, also serving the COVID 19 patients during this trying times

of the pandemic.

Besides, all the mother specialties, viz. Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, the SUHRC has sub-specialty

departments of Paediatrics with Neonatology (including an NICU), Orthopaedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Gastroenterology ,

Urology, Nephrology with dialysis beds, Pulmonology (Chest Medicine), Cardiology Dept (with a Cath lab )& cardiothoracic

surgery, and Neurology & Neurosurgery. Critical Care Medicine, 65 ICU beds with 6 High Dependency Unit (HDU) beds ,15

large Operation Theatres, which caters to all the surgical disciplines, including one exclusively for Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

All theatres are ‘modular’ with 2-way data transfer facilities, a full-fledged Pathology lab and a Blood bank.

The SUHRC provides top quality clinical services, which are protocol driven and evidence based. The nomenclature of a

‘University hospital and Research Centre’ conveys the thrust on academics and research, which is both interdisciplinary as well

as translational. ETHICS with transparency of operations is accorded topmost priority.
