DAY1Sydney After arriving at Sydney

airport you are met and transferred to your chosen hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure – why not head to Circular Quay to get your fi rst glimpse of the world famous Opera House, and iconic Harbour Bridge.

DAY2Cruise The Harbour Spend

a relaxing morning exploring the Harbour aboard Captain Cook’s Coffee Cruise - one of the ‘must do’ experiences whilst in Sydney. The onboard commentary helps to set your bearings for the city, covering the main harbour attractions before cruising past the parks, waterfront homes and beaches showing Sydney at its best. This afternoon why not head out to one of Sydney’s famous beaches – try out the Learn to Surf tour at Bondi.

DAY3Blue Mountains and wildlife

Venture out of Sydney to the famed Blue Mountains, where steep canyons meet lush eucalypt forests. See the magnifi cent Three Sisters rock formation, tour the small town of Leura and opt to take a ride on the world’s steepest scenic railway. The afternoon includes a visit to Featherdale Wildlife Park, where kangaroos, wallabies and koalas can be spotted in a natural bush setting.

DAY4Day At Leisure A free day

to explore the city and its surroundings. With so much to choose from boredom is certainly not an option! Take a scenic seaplane fl ight, climb to the

top of the Harbour Bridge, or stroll around the historic Rocks area.

DAY5Red Centre - sunset over

the rock Leave the city behind and fl y to the Red Centre (additional cost). Uluru (Ayers Rock) is visually stunning, and a major site of Aboriginal importance. This evening watch the sun set behind the glowing red monolith, colours changing as the light alters. A view to behold!

DAY6Uluru Sunrise and Kata Tjuta

An early start will be rewarded as the rising sun creates even more varied perspectives of Uluru. Walk part of the base of the rock, before heading to Kata Tjuta (Olgas) for a guided walk through Walpa Gorge. The 36 rocky domes dominate the skyline – and will rival Uluru for breathtaking views. This afternoon offers some free time, so why not take a camel ride into the sunset!

DAY7Queensland adventure

begins Fly from Ayers Rock to Cairns (additional cost), where the world heritage rainforest and Great Barrier Reef will offer yet another contrasting slice of Australia. After checking in to your chosen hotel take the rest of the day to explore Cairns, wander along the Esplanade and don’t miss the Night Markets.

DAY8Kuranda and Tjapukai

Aboriginal Centre Today is an adventure into the Atherton Tablelands, starting with a scenic rail journey through the rainforest up to Kuranda village. Explore the shops, markets and attractions, before joining the Skyrail gondola for its 4 mile trip above the rainforest canopy. After lunch visit the Tjapukai Aboriginal centre to learn about the ancient customs and traditions – and even try your hand at boomerang throwing!

DAY9Great Barrier Reef cruise

Leave the land behind and spend an unforgettable day on the Great Barrier Reef. After a scenic drive along the Captain Cook Highway to Port Douglas, join the Quicksilver catamaran to cruise to Agincourt Reef and the spacious reef platform. Snorkel, dive, or stay dry with a semi-submersible tour. A delicious buffet lunch is included.

DAY10&11Days At Leisure The next two days open a whole host of

opportunities as the area has so much to offer! Choose to venture further north into the Daintree rainforest and Cape Tribulation, soar over the Tablelands aboard a hot air balloon, or head back to the water with a Low Isles cruise. Alternatively there is the chance to simply relax!

Join Adventure North on a 4WD adventure from Cairns, via the heart of the Daintree National Park, to Cooktown, the historic settlement in the far north of the region named after Captain Cook after he made an enforced stop here in 1770. Travelling north along the Captain Cook Highway, along one of the most scenic coastal drives in Australia, the trip then heads into the rainforest, with stops at Cape Tribulation, before continuing along the infamous Bloomfi eld Track. DAY12Hokitika - Fox Glacier Just a

short drive will bring you into the Westland National Park, home to the Franz Josef and Fox Glaciers. Experience a walk up to the Glacier face and even out onto the ice itself.

DAY13Fox Glacier - Queenstown Travel

through the scenic wilderness of Haast Pass, past scenic Lake Wanaka and the snow-capped peaks of Mount Aspiring National Park, to arrive at the adrenaline capital of Queenstown.

DAY14-15Queenstown If you are

feeling adventurous in Queenstown there are plenty of activities to choose from! Take an exhilarating trip with the Shotover Jet Boat ride, enjoy a full day combining jet boating with infl atable ‘Funyaks’ on the Dart River, or cross Lake Wakatipu on the steamship TSS Earnslaw.

DAY16Queenstown - Te Anau Enjoy a

marvellous drive along the shores of Lake Wakatipu, before heading towards Te Anau, on the outskirts of the Fiordland National Park. At Te Anau you may decide to continue on to Milford Sound (an extra two hour drive in each direction) to take in the grandest fi ord along this coastline.

DAY17Te Anau - Dunedin Travel east to

Dunedin, the main town of the Otago region and second largest city on the South Island.

DAY18Dunedin Today is free to discover

Dunedin and the surrounding area. You may decide to join Monarch Wildlife Cruises as they cruise to Taiaroa Head to see the fur seal colony, plus the award-winning Yellow Eyed Penguin Reserve.

DAY19Dunedin - Twizel

From Dunedin take the coastal road before heading inland to the base of the awe-inspiring Mount Cook – New Zealand’s largest mountain.

Christchurch After leaving Twizel, pass the spectacular turquoise-coloured glacial Lake Pukaki, and continue over the Canterbury Plains to Christchurch, with its distinctly English feel.
