Tickets are available from Transport Shops, these are conveniently located at Wynyard, Circular Quay, Town Hall and Railway Square (near Central) stations. They are also available from 7 Eleven, newsagents and Australia Post Shops. Ferries Much of Sydney Harbour’s ferries and boat operators (lunch cruises, whale watching and jet boats) operate from Circular Quay. You can reach Balmain, Manly and Watsons Bay (amongst other suburbs) by ferry. Trains There are numerous trainlines into the City and the main railway stations are Central, Town Hall and Wynyard. Use the railway map opposite to see which line you need. NSW TrainLink runs regular services to Newcastle, Woollongong and Katoomba (Blue Mountains), these are also on the Sydney network and are priced accordingly. FREE City Bus – Route 555 The Free Sydney CBD Shuttle service operates from Central Station to Circular Quay via George Street in both directions. This service runs every 10 minutes, weekdays: 9.30am to 3.30pm, with a late finish of 9pm on Thursday evenings. Weekends: 9.30am to 6.00pm. At the Museum of Contemporary Art you can see Chuck Close: Prints, Process and Collaboration. Close is an American artist best known for his large scale, photo-based portrait paintings. Manly Art Gallery is free. Open 10am - 3pm Tuesday to Sunday great cafes and restaurants along Campbell Parade. Why not make a day of it, go for a swim or surf and then grab a bite in one for lunch or dinner. For the best way to see Sydney, get a ferry to Manly. Great views and a relaxing 30 minute ride. Ferries depart every half hour until late. Return ticket $14.80 sydneyferries.info. For local information, drop into the Hello Manly Booking and Information Centre at Manly Wharf. Plenty of local information and things to do. Walk to beautiful Shelley Beach and chill out. Voted Sydney’s #1 beach. great snorkelling and free BBQ facilities. Three things to do Aboriginal Rock Carvings On the sea side of Bondi Golf Course, stands a substantial panel of Aboriginal rock carvings depicting various fish species.
