All students of the first semester CSIT have presented their skill (project) along with its report. Dr. Shatrughna Prasad Yadav, faculty SCIT was the subject teacher and project guide for all projects displayed by students.

Dr. A. M. Bisen, Dean Academics, faculty members and laboratory assistants visited the show and motivated students. Dr. A. M. Bisen encouraged students to make projects to solve real time complex problems.

Following were the main projects demonstrated by students of division A:1. Current Detector Circuits2. Moisture Sensor3. 7 Segment BCD Decoder4. Binary Half Adder5. Application of D ip- op6. Decade Counter7. Shift Register8. Automatic Visitor Counter9. Smart Lighting System10. Light Detector11. Application using NAND Gate12. IR sensor with LED13. Water Level Indicator14. Light Detector using NAND Gate14. Traffic Light using Counter15. 7 Segment Display

The Basic idea behind this presnetation was to make them show their skills what they have learnt in the subject Digital Electronics and Logic Circuits. This subject is very fundamnetal based on hardware design of digital computer. In the higher semsters they can use this fundamnetal concepts to resolve real time complex problems faced by the society. The cost of each project was approximately Rs. 200/- only which was shared by two students of that particular project group. Some projects were made by individual students also but majority of the projects were made by two students. At the end, students were seen confident and motivated to take larger problems in the higher semesters.

Need of the HourI have invested a lot of resources to study the financial system for five years. One would assume that there has got to be a good ROI to compensate for all my efforts. The answer is yes, banking and financial services is the need of the hour. India has implemented schemes like 'make in India', 'Skill India', 'digital India' and many more to encourage entrepreneurship and promote social well-being of people. Such schemes help to promote trade, commerce and exports in the MSME sector. World Bank has set a goal for the entire world to achieve hundred percent financial inclusion by 2020 and India was one of the first ones to make financial inclusion a topmost priority. The ultimate goal is to strengthen our economy and make the lives of people easier. The main ingredient in this whole process is money. Proper management of money helps execute projects, helps businesses prosper, and helps our economy run seamlessly. So this is where the role of the financial system comes in.

Building Blocks of the Financial SystemThe financial system is a complex, integrated and an organized system that broadly consists of the banking sector, financial services sector and the insurance sector. There is a very fine line between these sectors in today's era. However, if we had to differentiate them, we could say that the banking sector is mostly focused on bank services and products such as savings account, fixed deposits, payments and transfers. The main purpose of the banking sector is safekeeping of others' financial assets, investing to generate more wealth and to aid the activities of government agencies. The financial service sector offers a wide range of opportunities for investors to create wealth. It deals with the mutual fund industry, the stock market, the derivative, commodity and many other markets. Last but not least, the insurance industry deals with pure risk such as theft, accident and etc. It aims to help bring people back to the prior loss position so that people don't have to face the burden of some loss all by themselves.

There is a Lot Going On!A lot is going on in the banking and financial service industry. The Indian financial system has gone through a lot of reforms to result in a more calibrated, diversified, safe and efficient system. Following is a list of key events that took place recently in the financial services industry in India. Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi encouraged a cashless economy and a digital India. This

resulted in the emergence of platforms like Paytm and mobikwick thus encouraging digital modes of banking. SBI took a lot of initiatives towards digitalization of India with its e-wallet, digital villages, Mingle and etc. It realized that its clients were not that comfortable in adopting such technology for financial purposes. So it decided to take a step back and then go one step at a time. It's going big on 'YONO', its digital savings account which includes easy operations, less hassle and more benefits.

Financial inclusion is of high priority in India. India launched schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yoja, Atal Pension Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and many more for financial penetration into the rural areas of India. India Post Payments Banks were also established in every district to make banking easier for everyone.

JP Morgan is arranging an amount of US$ 7- 9.5 million for IIM-Ahmedabad, Dell and Bill Gates foundations to set up a Financial Inclusion Lab to support fintech startups.

SEBI is coming up with ways to improve the governance standards for issuers, intermediaries and infrastructure providers in the financial market.

The Mutual Fund Industry in India achieved a high growth in its Assets Under Management (AUM). Mutual funds is a mechanism for small investors to contribute to a pool of money, which can be further invested in projects, stocks and other investment avenues to generate wealth for all the investors. In simple words AUM is the total value of all the financial assets managed by a financial institution, like a

mutual fund, on behalf of its clients. The total AUM of the industry stood at Rs.2.52 trillion in August 2018. Simultaneously, Mutual Fund equity portfolios stood at 74.6 million on June 2018.

The market for Initial Public Offer (IPO) and the secondary market also witnessed high growth. IPOs also known as primary markets are markets in which companies issue company shares for the first time to the public. The secondary market is a market for investors to trade their assets with other investors. The amount of IPO stood at US$1.2 billion in June 2018.

Private equity investments have hiked to US$ 304 million in June 2018.

Insufficiencies Everything has its aws, even our financial system. These are a few of them: Many people are not involved in the financial system. Many have dormant bank accounts There are loopholes in our system that give way to corruption and money laundering. There are trust issues and aversion to digitalization and innovative products and services. The insurance industry, although of great importance, has a low reach in India.

Our MissionPeople have realized the significance of the financial system. They understand the benefits they can receive by investing in stock markets, by contributing to a mutual fund scheme, by using debit cards and credit cards issued by various banks and safekeeping their financial assets with banks and other financial institutes. Entrepreneurs can acquire funding, technical expertise and other important resources thanks to venture capitals, private equities, banks and financial institutes. However, we have yet to go a long way in achieving a very strong financial system. India's mission when it comes to strengthening our financial system is to Spread awareness about the importance of banking and financial services Create innovative financial products and services that people will trust Develop efficient distribution channels In conclusion, the banking and financial services industry is growing at a rapid pace. An efficient financial system is vital for the growth of every other industry in India. It will impact the performance of the whole economy, thus making it a very important sector of our country.
