Founded by Mrs Aygol Vermot Babaki, a Swiss dental hygienist & Mr Steeve Vermot
2007
Our first trip to Myanmar and discovering the Phaung Daw Oo Monastic School in Mandalay (7500 children from disadvantaged families and orphan children).
Check-ups for 500 children to discover that more than 80% of them were suffering from dental disease.
Dental health lessons were given to thousands of children and students of this school-orphanage.
Back in Switzerland and creation of the Thannaka Association. Working hard to find funding to be able to open a dental clinic and offer free
toothpastes and toothbrushes.

Dental check-ups, which revealed that more than 80% of children had dental health problems

With the first funds, purchase of the 1st dental unit and opening the dental clinic of the Thannaka Association
Purchase of a water pump, generator, compressor, basic materials for dental treatments
Collaboration with local dentists to treat for free children from this school 2x/week
Trying to find Swiss volunteers (dentist and dental hygienist) to work and treat the children in this school
