Firm expands powerpoint netwo

ELECTRIC car maker Teslacontinues to expand its net-work of charging stations inthe UK, with the latest Super-charger facility now open atEdinburgh Airport.

This location is part of thefirms network expansionthat will soon allow Model Sowners to drive anywhere inthe UK relying only on Super-chargers.

Scheme helping hundredsA LEADING house builderhas today praised the suc-cess of the GovernmentsHelp to Buy Wales equityloan scheme as it celebratesits firstten months,claimingthe scheme has seen hun-dreds of people buy a new-build home in Wales.

Persimmon Homes Walessaid the scheme had espe-cially helped people startingoff on the property ladderfor the first time.

The company revealed that67 per cent of those who tookup Help to Buy Wales werefirst-time buyers, many ofwhom had feared they wouldnever raise a large enoughdeposit to get them on theproperty ladder.

Under the scheme, people

buying a new-build homerequire only a five per centdeposit along with a 75 percent mortgage, while theWelsh Government suppliesa 20 per cent equity loan,

which is interest-free andrepayment-free for the firstfive years.

S ince the Help to B uyscheme was launched inJanuary, 724 homes soldhave used the scheme, withPersimmon Homes and sis-ter company Charles Churchcontributing 197 of thosesales, a 27.2 per cent marketshare.

From a total funding potof 170m, Help to Buy WalesLtd has spent 25.2m andhas so far helped people allacross th e country.

The latest figures also re-veal that the average age ofa purchaser in Wales takingup the Help to Buy schemeis 30 years old, spending anaverage 177,443 on a new

property.Persimmon Homes Walesbelieves the scheme has hadincredibly positive impact.
