Swami Sachchidanad Polytechnic College

formed its individual Alumni Association

with purpose to establish, develop and

strengthen long lasting relationship with

the past and present students. The

formation purpose behind the alumni is to

promote fellowship among alumni

students, exchange ideas, spread

knowledge, stimulate thinking and help

to provide excellence in the field of

Engineering. Following are the objectives

of SSPCIAN.

Objectives

To establish, develop and strengthen

rapport among the past students,

present students and faculty members

of Swami Sachchidanand Polytechnic

College, Visnagar.

To provide a common platform to Past

and Present students of Swami

Sachchidanand Polytechnic College,

Visnagar and other stake holder for

capabilities enhancement through

multidimensional activities.

To extend co-operation to the Institute

in its future development plans.

To promote the students of the Institute

for various activities like in plant

training, Educational and Culture.

To promote various activities of SSPC &

SSPC Second Shift in India and abroad to

enhance its regulation as a premier

teaching and research institute with high

standards of excellences in Engineering,

Technology and assist SSPC to maintain

these standards.

This constitution and such byelaws and

rules in harmony shall govern SSPC

therewith as may be adopted as herein

provided.

Vision of Patron

I am really very happy to put before you this

wonderful occasion of starting an Alumni

Association which I’m sure going to start

unique progress of our beloved alma

matter and institute's contribution to the

real world of work. Within a span of 10

years of its purposeful existence, our trust

and this institute has carved its own niche in

the field of technical education of North

Gujarat region. Today's get-to-gather

function is your SSPC’s annual feast of

achievements and rejoicing and I am very

much delighted to be permitted to rejoice

along with you all of you. I am sure that the

lessons of self-reliance, confidence and the

ability to plan for oneself and others

taught at the college have made you all

capable to solve problems, make things

happen and enhance quality of your life and

career. I take this opportunity to

congratulate you all and extend my best

wishes for your new and exciting

professional career. I wish you to be

successful and make your parents, teachers,

friends, university and above all, your

Country proud of your achievements

President’s Views

It gives me great pleasure to address you

on this auspicious occasion of our alumni

reunion. A day like this is very important

as it gives us the opportunity to meet with

many of our graduates after a long time.

The alumni are able to meet each other,

their former lectures and other staff. It

also enables t h e alumni to familiarize

themselves with the developments at the

alma mater. Allow me to tender my

gratitude to each and every one of you

for finding time to be with us today. It

takes a lot of sacrifice to set aside time out

of your busy schedules and come over to

such a function. I do hope that the

experiences of this day will be worth the

sacrifice you have made.

A decade ago, ours was a tiny, struggling

organization. Today, our students and

scholars cover the globe in their search for

knowledge and meaning, and their

contributions make a difference everywhere.

As alumni who truly love and faithfully

support this great institution, I know you

share my pride in what we are doing and

where we plan to go. In recent years our

institute has steadily been building our

capacity to create a truly an exquisite

institute in the field of technical education.

In my view, greatness requires four things:

wonderful students enjoying a tremendous

student experience; very successful faculty;

a supportive campus learning environment;

and substantial financial resources.

A living institution makes an impact on

everything it touches on the minds and

dreams and characters of students, on the

world of ideas and their practical

application as we transfer knowledge and

innovations to the world beyond our

campus, and on the communities with

which we engage, locally and around the

globe. As we inspire our students,

sometimes they repay us in full measure.

As I come to a close, I would like to

reiterate the role you play in the wider

society. Most of you hold key positions of

influence. I would appreciate to see that

you use the influence to direct the

development of our society positively.

You should always endeavour to uphold

good morals and act as an inspiration to the

society. I want to thank all of you for the

amazing support you have always extended

to the alma mater. Thank you. I hope all of

you will surly enjoy meeting your respected

teachers, old friends and share your

views and opinions and also enjoy the

arrangement of lunch and have a wonderful

day of this get together.

Secretarial Address

At the outset I would like to thank the

entire alumni and the invitees for

sparing their precious time from their

busy time to attend this first successful

alumnus meet of 2010. We are glad to let

you know that we’re establishing it on the

run of successful decade year of our

institute. Such program refreshes all our

nostalgic values and binds the alumnus

with the Institute wherein they have spent

four precious years of you th . Therefore

i t gives me immense pleasure to present

here the objectives of our Alumni

Association. Swami Sachchidanand

Polytechnic College Alumni Association

has been formed to serve the engineering

fraternity in general and to strive for the

upliftment of former as well as present

student of the Institute in particular.

Many of Alumni from this Institute had a

good learning, research and social

experience during their college years.

The primary objective of the association is,

therefore, to serve as a bridge between

the Institute and alumni working at

various parts of India and abroad for

the benefit of Alumni, Institute and the

students. We all know that-Coming

together is a beginning! Keeping together is

a progress! And Working together is a

success! Therefore let’s come together and

walk over the path of development and

Prosperity.

I hope with the coming years we grow more

and more prosperous in our strengths and

grow as mature body working in positive

direction for the institute and students.

Alumni First Meet

As per the meeting of founder members

held on 11th February, 2010 prior to the

alumni meet, the members unanimously

decided to held the function on 15th May,

2010. The members successfully collected

the list of old students and their contact

details. In the next phase all the

concerning alumni students are informed

about the meet and requested to register

their entries on institute’s website

homepage.

Following is the complete report of the

first Alumni Meet held on 15th May,

2010.

Agenda

During the first meet of Alumni, Following

agenda are considered for discussion.

1. To work out the future actions to

fulfil the required objectives of the

association.

2. To collect the latest information of

the Alumni (Separate form is to be

filled up and submitted to HOD of

concerned branches).

3. To frame the Alumni committee of

pass out students this will function

under the control of convener and

work according to the objectives of

the association.

4. Details of colleagues who are absent

in this meeting (separates sheet is to

be filled). Any suggestion/s or

queries by the members of the

association with the prior permission

of patron/convener

Meeting Report

The first Alumni meeting of Swami

Sachchidanand Polytechnic College was

arranged on 15th May, 2010. Most of the

students were contacted prior to fifteen

days of the meeting through various means

of communication like Mobile, SMS and

emails. Many of the alumni students also

played active role by sharing and

spreading the information to other students

and it worked out as successful link for the

first breakthrough session of the meeting.

The meet was attended by almost 108

students. It was nostalgic atmosphere of

great pleasure and enthusiasm among the

participants seeing and meeting their old

friends in their alma mater after a long time;

naturally they were thrilled to get back to

their campus after a long pause. There

were moments of surprise, happiness,

exhilaration and joy when people met their

long-lost friends. The atmosphere was that

of sheer camaraderie.

The first session was started at 9 O’clock in

the morning with registration and Tea-

breakfast for the students. The inaugural

function followed with prayer to Goddess

Saraswati. Principal Prof V P Lunja

expressed his gratitude for forming the

reunion between the institute and old

students. He also expressed his views about

strengthening the scope as these students

are brand ambassadors of the institute in

various fields and positions. The Vice

Chairman of the trust Shri R.S.Patel also

addressed the students in his speech and

shared his views on nurturing the long

lasting relationship between the students

and their alma mater. The session was then

lead towards making students familiar

about the aim and objectives of the Alumni

Association. The anchoring of the whole

programme was conducted by Mr. H B.

Dave, the faculty of Communication Skills.

The session was ended with vote of thanks

addressed by Shri Y.C. Joshi. The students

and faculty shared the lunch together and

shared their memorable moments of the

past. The session ends with promissory

note to revisit again and spread the

message amongst all who could not visit

the session this time.

The round of discussion among Alumni,

Secretary Mr. A. S. Patel, Prof. Y. C. Joshi

and Principal Prof. V P Lunja covered

various topics in the discussion round that

turned out to be a fruitful interaction for

making the alumni association stronger and

mature forum for upcoming years.

Many of the alumni students actively

participated in the discussion and shared

their views and opinions and fond

memories and experience studying in the

institute.
