Installation of Officers

Past District Governor Gene Weatherby installed the new slate of officers for the term of July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013. Lion Gene gave a brief history of the Lions organization and how it has grown internationally. Some of the successful programs are the Lions Eye Foundation, medical alert, and diabetes awareness. Each club also has the flexibility to decide their own local programs in addition to those with International sponsorship. Soon-to-be Past President Mike Flynn and soon-to-be President Steve Routt spoke of the club’s progress in its first year and that continued growth and the club’s calendar will keep the Lions active in our community.
