    T5 light bulb can maintain existing lighting levelsat up to 65% reduction in energy use.

    In 2010,UTM has installed 15 thousand energysaving light bulb which includes buildingChancellery of Sultan Ibrahim, Library SultanahZanariah, Lecture Hall N24 and Faculty ofChemical Engineering

    A saving of RM 800 thousand has beensuccessfully recorded.

    Installation of VRV air conditioning system

    New building in UTM such as Faculty Bioscienceand Biotechnology.

    Variable refrigerant volume (VRV) air conditioning

    systems providing with extremely efficient,reliable and energy saving ways to heat and coolall types of buildings

    The volume or flow rate of refrigerant isaccurately matched to the required heating orcooling loads thereby saving energy andproviding more accurate control. This is the bestsystems available for mid to large applications.

    Mall car park from 9.00am to 5.00 pm

    Enforcement of the ban on the use of the former polystyrene

    food container was included in the demerit system for arcade

    dealers.

    Who do not comply with the enforcement will be givenwarning and reduction of the arcade evaluation point.

    The UTM on-Campus Bicycle Program in UTM Johor Bahru

    campus officially started on October 11, 2010. This initiative is

    introduced by University and one of the efforts organised bythe UTM Ecotourism Campus.
