heightenpublicexpectationsinanincreasinglyregulatedenvironment.Inparallel,thereareexcitingnewhealthtechnologiesandadvancementsindiagnosticswhichmayresultinbetterqualityofcareandimprovedhealthoutcomesbutcomeatafinancialcostatatimeofreducedpublicfinancesanddecreasinghospitalbudgets.Patients are better informed of their rights and treatments available and rightlydemand timelyaccess toaquality service inwhat isnowevolving intoaglobalhealthcaresystem.It is this gap between the health systems ‘inputs’ and ‘outcomes’ that hospitalmanagementhavetobridge-thatisourresponsibility.Wecanconfidentlypredictthatthedemandsonandforhealthcarewillonlycontinuetoincrease,thegapwillwiden and the challenges will grow if left unchecked. This requires appropriatesolutionsbothnowandinthefuturetopreventacrashofourhealthsystemsandtoguaranteesustainability.Thischallengingresponsibilityforhospitalmanagementdemandscompetenceandleadershiptoexpertlysteerinternalprocessesefficientlyandeffectively.Duringthe26thEAHMcongress,jointlyorganizedwithANMDOnationalcongress,weinviteexperts,highlyrenownedspeakersaswellasexperiencedcolleaguestosharetheirknowledgeofthescienceandskillsrequiredtoachievethisstability.Through
