By doing this, we make sure we have sustainable tourism destinations and therefore we strengthen our business, which also develops a positive workforce. Our philosophy is conducted in the triple bottom line (economy / society / environment) to generate sustainable development by helping those around us. Banyan Tree Mayakoba is a complex of 132 villas located in the tourist complex of Mayakoba in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Banyan Tree Mayakoba includes 4 meeting rooms, 135 swimming pools, gym, 16 spa treatment rooms, 4 restaurants and 3 guest bars, a dining room for collaborators, a conference room, a retail gallery that sells local crafts , a business center, a jewelry store, a whirlpool area and a system of artificial lagoons connected to Mayakoba. Since our opening, in 2009, Banyan Tree Mayakoba has followed the Environmental Management System implemented by the Mayakoba complex, and we have also adopted our CSR 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 group initiatives that aim to promote the development of the local communities in which the hotel operates through the conservation of resources, the protection of biodiversity, and the development of local capacities in the surrounding communities. At Banyan Tree Mayakoba we are committed to continuously improve our sustainability performance and the results of our annual benchmarking. Likewise, we will comply with all relevant laws and regulations, and strive to achieve international best practices. The policy is divided into four integrated areas that are based on the central philosophy of Banyan Tree, which embrace the universal values of the Global Compact and the responsibilities of developing the Millennium Development Goals. This forms Banyan Tree's vision of the role of a company in society and reflects the true approach of corporate citizenship.

We have appointed Ramiro Munoz as EarthCheck Coordinator, who has the responsibility and skills to ensure the
continuous functioning of the environment, the identification of environmental risks, registration and monitoring of
impacts and the application of environmental, social and cultural sustainability measures.
We encourage staff to present our commitment to environmental, social and cultural sustainability to our customers,
suppliers, contractors, agents and wholesalers.

En Banyan Tree Mayakoba estamos conscientes de los daños que el turismo global ya ha causado, por lo
tanto, nos esforzamos como negocio para minimizar todos los impactos operacionales negativos. En
cambio, efectos beneficiosos se crean para el medio ambiente humano y natural de todo el complejo. Al
hacer esto, nos aseguramos de contar con destinos turísticos sostenibles y por lo tanto fortalecemos
nuestro negocio, lo que también desarrolla una fuerza laboral positiva. Nuestra filosofía se conduce

16 salas de tratamientos de spa, 4 restaurantes y 3 bares para huéspedes, un comedor para
colaboradores, una sala de conferencias, una galería de venta al por menor que vende artesanías
locales, un centro de negocios, una joyería, un área de hidromasaje y un sistema de lagunas
artificiales conectadas con Mayakoba.
Desde nuestra apertura, en 2009, Banyan Tree Mayakoba ha seguido el Sistema de Gestión Ambiental
implantado por el complejo de Mayakoba, además, hemos adoptado nuestras iniciativas del grupo CSR 1,
2, 3, 4, 5 y 6 que tienen como objetivo promover el desarrollo de las comunidades locales en las que
opera el hotel por medio de la conservación de los recursos, la protección de la biodiversidad, y el
desarrollo de capacidades locales en las comunidades circundantes.
En Banyan Tree Mayakoba nos comprometemos a mejorar continuamente nuestro rendimiento en
sustentabilidad y en los resultados de nuestra evaluación comparativa anual. Así mismo, cumpliremos
