Located adjacent to The Tanjung Puting National Park on the Southern coast of Borneo, Rimba Raya is one of Borneo’s largest remaining ancient Tropical Peat Swamp Forests. Rimba Raya was the first forest-carbon (REDD+) project in the world to receive triple-gold certification under the Climate Community and Biodiversity Alliance Standard by demonstrating exceptionality in climate, community and biodiversity.

We set the standard, developing the industry’s first independently certified forest-carbon accounting methodology and delivering the first REDD+ project to be validated under the Verified Carbon Standard.

Additionally, our community development programs are designed to meet all eight of the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals (UN MDGs), which focus on the rights and welfare of women and children as the primary vehicle for the eradication of chronic poverty.
