By Ann Bare"Oh dear," you think to yourself. "My

sister gets cranky so easily. My bestfriend, although I love her dearly, isunpredictable and undependable. I have

some friends from school, but we rarelytalk and really only keep in touch throughFacebook. My coworkers are becomingfriendlier, but we are not what I wouldcall friends yet. I'm getting married in sixmonths and I want to have a stress-freewedding. Whom do I choose to be in mywedding party?"

It's not always possible to select the"perfect" attendants. Personalities, tradi-tions, expectations and cultural morescan influence a bride's choice of hermaid or matron of honor and her brides-maids. There are those who expect to beasked to be in your wedding; after all,you were in theirs. Your sisters and closestcousins would be natural choices-espe-

cially to Mom and sweet Auntie. Yourbest friend and you pinky-swore yearsago that you would be at each other'sside, but now her life decisions are notmaking her a suitable choice. The hard-to-decide task just got more difficult.

So whose wedding is it anyway? Youwant to look back on this day and havepleasant memories so make your deci-sions accordingly. What do you want toremember? Pasted smiles on an array ofsize 3 gals and tuxedoed handsome menflanking a radiant couple? The hope ofhaving your wedding photo featured inthe hometown paper's next bridal insert?Beautifully coiffed hairstyles and tinyankles beneath tea-length dresses? What

will really make your day happily memo-rable?
