SUSAN MASON INTERNATIONAL SUMMER COURSE We are organizing a summer skating course in Jaca, Spain from the 14th July until 28th July. It is a very complete course for all level skaters. There will be 3 different groups depending on the skating level:

GROUP C: High level skaters. (Skaters who do all doubles, double axels and triples). (3 hours ice+ off ice+ballet+ Gym and physic preparation)

GROUP B: Intermediate level skaters. (Skaters who do single jumps, axel and start of doubles). (2 hours ice+ off ice+ballet+gym and physical preparation)

GROUP A: Begginer level. (For those who want to learn the Basic skills of figure skating). (1 hour ice+1 hour ballet+off ice)

TECHNICAL DIRECTION

The Technical Director is SUSAN MASON. Susan Mason is a coach with more than 20 years of teaching experience. Recognized for her professional and excellent work with skaters. Susan is now the trainer of the Figure Skating Club in The Hague (Holland), and trainer of the Dutch National Champions. She has been head coach in clubs such as Txuri Urdin from San Sebastián, Club Hielo Jaca and Aragon Club de Hielo in Jaca for many years until she left to teach in Holland. Her skaters have had great results, having champions in National and International competitions. She has also taken different skaters to European Championships. Susan Mason was World Proffesional Champion (1978), also 2nd and 3rd in the World, member of the Olympic Trials, she has medals in Ice Dance and was Awarded by IPSA. Trained with British Pair Champion. Titles by NISA. Master Coach by the KNSB. Prepared for Ballet Classes in Covent Garden and Royal Ballet of Dance in London. A well-known coach recognized for her good work with children and skaters and for her great technical and choreographic capacity. Has prepared programmes for all levels, including top skaters and champions.

Second coach: NAYA ZAMBORAIN, A former competitive skater herself Naya has competed successfully both nationally and internationally for Spain. She holds many NISA qualifications. Was coached by SUSAN MASON. Naya was chosen to attend the Tamara Moskvina and Alexander Verkovitch International Skating School. She has also trained with other World-Known Russian International coaches, including Mishin. Did ballet and achieved tests from the Royal Academy in London. Naya has worked as a figure skating coach for Patinaje Iacca and Aragon Club de Hielo in Jaca with great results. Known for her professionalism excellent training and patience with the skaters she trains. Naya has also trained other National and International skaters in Jaca and abroad. Naya is particularly talented at preparing music and choreography for skaters.

Ballet teacher: ANDREA MARTIN Experience in teaching. All tets in the Royal Academy of Dance to Advanced 2, medium grade in classical dance. 1st prize in classical dance in Terzo Milenio 2013, Special prize from the jury at this event. 1st Prize with unanimity from the jury at Anaprode. Finalist at the Dance contest Ribarroja del Turia, 3rd price in the anzolymp 2012. Selected for the Wells Summer School. Gym : ALAN SHIM Has a Gym in Jaca (Gimnasio Alan) . Has

been working for 30 years. He has prepared many sportspeople for high level competitions. Known for his great job to prepare people physically and mentally for different types of sport. His slogan: Or you train or you leave!

The Gym Time may vary depending of number of inscriptions and

different levels. All the activities are in the ice rink, except for the

Gym which is done in “Gimnasio Alan” (5 min walk from the rink).

We are studying the possibility of doing ZUMBA class.

*NOTAS:

All the ice will be on full size rink.

The gym time will depend of the number of inscriptions and

different levels. Gym classes are from Monday to Friday. GYM

OPTIONAL FOR GROUP A!

All the rest of activities (Ice, Ballet, Off ice, Warm up) are all

at the same place.

Training times may vary depending of number of inscriptions but

the groups will always have the agreed training times.

OUR RINK… Jaca´s ice Pavillion is the only one in Spain which has two ice rinks inside: One with Olympic size (60x30m) and one Fun Rink (50x20m).

Here are the prices of the different groups:

GROUP C: 3 hours ice, 1 hour ballet, 1 hour gym and off ice. 1 week: 350€ 2 weeks: 600€

GROUP B: 2 hours ice, 1 hour ballet, 1 hour gym and off ice. 1 week: 300€ 2 weeks: 500€

GROUP A: 1 hour ice, 1 hour off ice and coordination, ballet 1 week: 180€ 2 weeks: 300€
