What is Surrey? (For those of you that don’t know…)

Surrey is a city in British Columbia, Canada, a part of the Greater Vancouver Regional District

The estimated population of Surrey in 2011 is around 483,690, making it the second most populated city after Vancouver

The population of Surrey is expected to increase by about 150,000 people in the next 10 years!

• Invisible Workers is proud to launch the Surrey Beautification Campaign to make public places better for our community. Such as:

• Bus stops• Benches• Lampposts• Plants

Phase 1: Promotion• Using the help of volunteer hours, we will host an even in a Surrey Park.• Contest for getting you designs in Surrey

• Donations to fund our project• Ability to sign up for helping with the project

Phase 2: Execution• Using the help of volunteer hours, we will begin beautifying Surrey over the course of 2 years.

Phase 3: Maintenance • With the volunteers accumulated over the course of the years, divide maintenance among them to ensure Surrey will be “beautified” forever.

• Total cost to fund the Beautification Project is $62,000. • Part of this money is able to be of set by the City of Surrey, Whom fund Beautification projects.• Other funding sources are from fundraisers / Donations

Fundraiser• During the

fundraiser, we shall see how many people come out to support us. This will be an indicator to how popular our idea is with the community

“Beautifying”• During our

beautifying process, we shall see how many volunteers we get from the community as well as feedback/positive reactions

Maintenance• The final test, to

see if after we are done, will people respect the art, as well as volunteers help maintain them.
