Kevin Henkes
Author and illustrator, Kevin Henkes was born in 1960 in Racine, Wisconsin.
Henkes is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
He lives in Madison, Wisconsin, with his wife, Laura Dronzek, and their two children.
Henkes is author and illustrator of children's picture books, many of which feature little mice as their main characters. He also writes young-adult fiction.
Henkes' first book, All Alone, was published in 1981
Kevin loved going to the library when he was little!!!

Kevin Henkes has also authored and illustrated some very well
known picture books. One of his more recent books, Kitten’s First
Full Moon (2005) was awarded the Caldecott Medal for outstanding
illustrations.
