Baar AnahtarHasta, planlanan protez iin yeterli interoklzal aklk olup olmadn kontrol etmek iin, az kapal ekilde en ideal pozisyonda muayene edilmelidir.
Planlanan protezin etrafndaki yumuak dokuyu dzenlemek iin frenektomi dnlebilir.
Bilgisayarl tomografi (CAT scan), her zaman gerekli olmamasna ramen, kemik seviyesinin yetersiz olduu hastalarda implant uygulanabilecek en ideal blgenin tespitinde veya anatomik blgelerin tam yerlerinin tespitinde kolaylk salar. Mandibular sinirin de genellikle koronale eimli
olduu premolar blgedeki inferior alveolar sinir ve mental foramene dikkat edilmelidir.
Reamer ya da implant tarafndan istemsiz penetrasyonlarn nlenmesi iin burun taban ve maksiller sins blgeleri dikkatli saptanmaldr.
Mylohyoid izginin altnda bulunan sublingual fossaya ve zellikle de sublingual arterin bulunduu anterior mandibular blgedeki sublingual bolua dikkat edilmelidir. Bu lingual blgelere olabilecek istemsiz penetrasyonlar, pilot ve reamer frezleri bukkale ynlendirerek ve drill srasnda dijital grntleme yntemlerinden faydalanlarak nlenebilir.
Genel olarak, implant osteotomisinin apeks blgesi ve mandibular kanal arasnda 2.0mm kemik bulunmas yeterli saylmaktadr.
