CUTTING REQUIREMENTSPlease read instructions first before cutting. Seam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces.

Clean WhiteCut 2 pieces 1 ½ yards each.

Aqua, Hot Pink and Lime WaveCut 1 rectangle 13” X 39”.

Border 1From the Daffodil. Cut 7 strips 1 ½” X WOF.

Border 2From Hot Pink. Cut 7 strips 2 ½” X WOF.

Border 3From the Aqua. Cut 7 strips 3 ½” X WOF.

QUILT ASSEMBLYRefer to the quilt photo for placement of fabrics.

Quilt CenterSew the 2 clean white solid rectangles together and trim to create the 54” X 62” center.Place the templates on each end of the Hot Pink Wave, Aqua Wave and the Lime Wave and trim to create the surfboards. Diagram 1.

Place the surfboards on top of the solid Aqua, Hot Pink and Lime solids and trim to 1” outside the surfboard. Stitch down.

Fold the Clean White piece in thirds and press these lines. Center the surfboards on these lines and stitch down using your favorite method of applique, and referring to the quilt photo for placement. Add the Surf’s Up lettering and the flowers.

BordersSeam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew border strips together end to end if necessary to get the length needed. Sew side borders first.

Border 1Top and bottom borders should be 54 ½”. Side borders should be 64 ½”.

Border 2Top and bottom borders should be 56 ½”. Side borders should be 68 ½”.

Border 3Top and bottom borders should be 60 ½”. Side borders should be 74 ½”

Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from the Basics Collection. Have fun with your colors and enjoy the journey of making your quilt.
