As part of ARTISTRY scientists’ pursuit to unlock ever-greater anti-ageing solutions, we were inspired by discoveries and research in a variety of fields, including Chronobiology—the study of our bodies’ natural reactions to the 24-hour cycle of the day. It led our scientists to reflect on the phenomenon of jet lag. Biorhythms are the natural changes that our bodies and minds follow during the 24-hour cycle of a full day. (Biorhythms are also known as Circadian Rhythms.) The study of this and how our bodies respond is known as Chronobiology.

ARTISTRY scientists investigated the role our natural biorhythms play in skin’s overall look and resistance to ageing. They discovered that there are benefits to having properly synchronised skin, one where the functions are aligned with the time of day: It is able to better protect itself by day and better repair itself by night.

Apply ARTISTRY Supreme LX Regenerating Cream twice daily (in the morning and evening), after cleansing and toning with your current skincare system.

Scoop a pea-sized drop of the cream onto the spatula provided, then transfer the cream onto fingertips. Distribute ARTISTRY Supreme LX Regenerating Cream to your forehead, cheeks, chin, and throat (image 1).

WHY ARE THE PRODUCTS SO EXPENSIVE?

ARTISTRY Supreme LX products are the most technologically advanced and effective ARTISTRY Signature Skincare formulas for achieving younger-looking skin. The final products contain the best available technologies to reduce all major visible signs of ageing.

WHAT CLINICAL TESTING OR LABORATORY SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE FOR THESE PRODUCTS?

A mix of clinical, consumer and in vitro testing was performed to support safety and efficacy claims. Results are shown from 25 studies with over 850 evaluations to ensure safety, performance, and consumer satisfaction. All test results are on file in the Research and Development Department archives.

WERE THE PRODUCTS TESTED ON ANIMALS?

We oppose animal testing and our products are not tested on animals unless required by government regulations. We actively support initiatives to create and use alternatives to required animal tests. We conduct clinical and consumer testing with human volunteers.

DO THE FORMULAS CONTAIN ANY ANIMAL INGREDIENTS?

ARTISTRY Supreme LX Regenerating Cream contains Acetylglucosamine (an ingredient which helps cell renewal) from crustacean shells and found only in the face cream and Cholesterol from sheep lanolin found in both the face and eye creams.

The ARTISTRY brand carefully selects ingredients to be used in its cosmetic products by considering both safety and efficacy of ingredients. Many animal derived ingredients have longstanding use in the cosmetic industry and are contained in some ARTISTRY produced cosmetic products, although we continuously seek to reduce their use whenever safe and effective alternatives are possible. These ingredients are reviewed thoroughly by our scientists and follow the regulatory requirements of the country they are marketed in. Also, special consideration is given regarding the use of animal derivatives in certain markets due to local religious customs and practices.

DO THE ARTISTRY SUPREME LX FORMULAS CONTAIN GLUTEN?

We do not have a specific program for gluten, but we have a general screening program for raw materials from food-based ingredients that are known to be allergens. We screen those raw materials for the presence of proteins to verify the product containing those ingredients would not elicit allergic reactions in consumers allergic to the food ingredient. Gluten is a protein and would be detected in a screening assay.

WHAT ARE BIORHYTHMS?

Biorhythms are physical, mental and behavioural changes that follow a 24-hour cycle, responding primarily to light and darkness. (Biorhythms are also referred to as Circadian Rhythms.) The study of biorhythms and how our bodies innately respond to them is called Chronobiology.

HOW DO WE KNOW THE SKIN “ACTS UP TO 15 YEARS YOUNGER”?

ARTISTRY scientists found that there was a correlation between the way skin acts and chronological age. They developed an accurate measurement method to evaluate the way skin acts and, with the help of our Advanced Imageing Laboratory instrumentation, conducted a clinical study to demonstrate the effect of ARTISTRY Supreme LX Regenerating Cream and ARTISTRY Supreme LX Regenerating Eye Cream on skin. The study used a group of people between 45-60 years old. After 6 weeks of product usage, the measurement method confirmed the average improvement of how skin acted for those who used ARTISTRY Supreme LX products was up to 15 years younger.

WHY IS THE ARTISTRY SUPREME LX REGENERATING EYE CREAM FRAGRANCE-FREE?

ARTISTRY Supreme LX Regenerating Eye Cream is fragrance-free because that is more appropriate for the sensitive eye area to reduce the potential for irritation.

IS ARTISTRY SUPREME LX REGENERATING EYE CREAM OPHTHALMOLOGIST-TESTED? Yes. It is also suitable for contact lens wearers. It has been allergy-tested and dermatologist-tested. It is suitable for all skin types, mild to the skin, non-irritating and gentle.

I HAVE EXTREMELY SENSITIVE SKIN; WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER APPLICATION OF THE ARTISTRY SUPREME LX COLLECTION?

The ARTISTRY Supreme LX products have been thoroughly tested on groups of individuals with sensitive skin. There was no evidence of allergic response or extreme irritation. However, we recognise that no testing program can guarantee that all individuals who wish to use it will not react.

IF I EXPERIENCE ANY SKIN SENSATION AFTER APPLYING ARTISTRY SUPREME LX PRODUCTS, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

Tingling sensations, a slight stinging or mild redness were not reported during our safety studies. If you experience sensation, we recommend that you discontinue use.

IF I HAVE A BAD SUNBURN, CAN I USE THESE PRODUCTS?

Generally, we do not recommend that any cosmetic product be used after a “bad” sunburn or any treatment that causes extreme inflammation. The product should only be used after inflammation has subsided. For use after chemical peel or laser treatment, one should consult their physician.

ARE THERE ANY PRODUCTS THAT SHOULD BE AVOIDED WHEN USING THE ARTISTRY SUPREME LX COLLECTION?

The products in the ARTISTRY Supreme LX Collection are aesthetically compatible with all ARTISTRY skincare.

CAN I USE THE PRODUCTS WHEN I’M PREGNANT?

Ingredients in ARTISTRY Supreme LX Regenerating Cream and ARTISTRY Supreme LX Regenerating Eye Cream have been shown to be safe for use by all women. Safety studies of cosmetics are not conducted on pregnant women. Whether to use or not use this product should be discussed by the patient and her doctor.

GARDENIA GRANDIFLORA STEM CELL EXTRACTS: The cell culture extracts are from the meristem tissues of Gardenia Grandiflora, commonly known as Cape jasmine, which is an evergreen flowering plant.
