• Prerequisite for SupplyPower access 1. Company must first register in Covisint (no cost to
supplier) 2. Obtain an Ultimate DUNS from Dun and Bradstreet
• Supplier company administrator must request GM SupplyPower service package once company is registered in Covisint
• GM SupplyPower service package will be assigned to the
appropriate users at the supplier company as determined by the company security administrator
• Supplier company is responsible for onboarding and
offboarding their own users

Applications
• Over 60 + Applications on SupplyPower • The Application page is where you can link to applications like e-Dacor (payments), Global Quality Tracking System (GQTS), Supplier Performance Metrics (SPM – 6 panel charts) •Some applications require additional setup. Further instructions are posted on the Covisint/SupplyPower Help tab under the heading “Help for Supplier Security Administrators” • Contact the Covisint/GM SupplyPower service desk for questions related to applications

Bulletins are displayed based upon your subscription
preferences. To see all bulletins available to suppliers, click on the “Show All Bulletins” links
Click on the “Subscriptions” tab to setup your preferences. YOU MUST DO THIS IN ORDER TO
RECEIVE IMPORTANT ALERTS CONCERNING PLANT DOWNTIMES, CHANGES TO SCHEDULES, OTHER CRITICAL MESSAGES. Under Community,
select GM SupplyPower from the dropdown menu. Check the items you are interested in and hit “Save Subscription” button at the bottom of
the page.

Document Library content is arranged in a folder / file layout 1. The top level document folders are listed on the left side of the page
2. Users can sort the folders and documents either by clicking on the column header or by clicking “sort
by” and selecting a sort criteria
3. Users can subscribe to a folder or document by clicking the gray arrow to the left, then clicking the “subscribe” submenu

When subscribed content is modified in the document library, users receive an email alerting them that the file or folder was changed along with a link to that content

Clicking on a folder will allow you to drill down and view subfolders and documents in that folder. 1. The document and folder bread crumb trail is displayed on the top of the screen. Click on any link to
return to an earlier point in the trail
2. Click on the gray arrow to the left of the document. You can either download the document or subscribe to it

Clicking on the document name will open the document home page 1. The document name and type are displayed
2. Click download to download the document
3. The version and owner are displayed, along with the status and date
4. Version history is also available
5. Click on “Get URL” to get the direct link to this document; Users can then save this link in their favorites
6. Click “Back” to return to the folder or search results.

Users can search for documents using the search window in the Document Library window 1. If a user is already in a folder when the user clicks search then the search will be conducted in that
folder only
2. The user can click on the “Search Everywhere” button to search in all folders
3. Click the red x to remove the search window results
4. The result window will display the criteria of the search conducted including the search input and the folders searched

Basic Search Recommendations: • Search supports asset types such as documents and web contents in the Portal • When possible, enter the entire file name and extension in the search field. For example, “TestDocument.doc” • Use as many key words as possible • Search terms can be titles, descriptions, partial content, or any text associated with a file • Search terms separated by a hyphen (-) are treated as separate terms • Search terms separated by an underscore (_) are treated as one term • Use the wildcard “*” at the end of a search query to expand the list of possible results • Avoid using too many wildcards, or beginning a search string with a wildcard. Doing so can slow the search query considerably

Secure File Exchange (SFX)
Unlike the document library, SFX is intended for document sharing between smaller teams. Security is normally based upon user ID. Your GM contact will set you up
with the appropriate read or write access.
SFX is commonly used by creativity teams to share documents with their suppliers in place of email. You will only see folders that
have been secured for you. SFX will appear empty if you have not been added to any
folders.

automatically generated when you request access to SupplyPower. You may be
asked to provide this information when using certain GM applications.
