Superior Preparedness Strategies
Many of us have grown
up in families who like
having a plan, while
others have grown up
in confusion.
What is your family
position in planning for
unforeseen emergencies,
natural or man-made
disasters???
What Is Your Family’s Position?
10/13/2015
2
For those of you who
have lived through times
of wars and The Great
Depression, you
understand. For the rest
of the population the
topic of preparedness
is foreign.
What Is Your Family’s Position?
As a farm family it is
important we have a plan.
When we traveled with our
parents they would show us
the emergency routes, fire
escapes, and a designated
place to meet should we
be separated.
What Is Your Plan?
Now as adults we get
to choose our plan of
action. It's impressive
how many people,
young and elderly, are
taking action in
preparedness.
It’s Our Choice
10/13/2015
3
We also get to choose to ignore the call of a "plan of
action". It's surprising the number of people who do
not want to think, talk or prepare for the known and
the unknown.
Our government is providing
information in readiness, what to
have on hand, in the case of
emergencies & disasters: Black
Outs, Power Outages, Grid Failures,
Radiation, Earth Quakes, Floods,
Hurricanes, Landslides, Tornadoes,
Volcanoes, Wild Fires,
Winter Weather.

#1 Priority
Good, clean air to
breathe. We live only
a few minutes without
oxygen. Air quality
trumps all!
Air filtration along
with sanitizing can
be life saving.

#2 Priority
Clean, safe, pure water. After a
disaster plenty of pure water can be
difficult to locate.
The problem is when there is no pure
water, drinking contaminated water can
cause sickness and even death.

#3 Priority
Foods to nourish the body, give the body strength,
supple dense nutrients to supports the systems of
the body. Green whole foods, protein,
vitamins and minerals,
amino acids and more are
all of great importance.
** An important note is
to plan foods for babies,
gluten-free, milk-free,
soy-free for special diets and needs. * www.cdc.gov/disaters/foodwater
Herbal Emergency Support
An important part of #3
can be the added benefits
of concentrated foods in
the form of herbs & spices.
This we can find in the
records of scriptures,
recorded history and
current research.
10/13/2015
5
Concentrated foods contain valuable nutrients.
It's of utmost importance to
educate ones self in the
nutrient content and
how these nutrients
support the systems
of the body. Include
an instructional booklet
for all family members.
Educate Yourself
As a young girl on our farm we begin growing
our herbs. Through the past 45 years of
utilizing herbs and in their many uses,
herbs have become a passion.
Learning and sharing with all
of you is rejuvenating!
My Family’s Future
As I begin to raise
my own family, we lived in
a world of natural health.
Through the years of
learning and teaching I
began to ask what is the
most valuable portion of
natural health that I would
want my daughters to
know for their health in
the future?
10/13/2015
6
The Most Valuable Knowledge
I realized the most valuable knowledge for the coming
days that I could teach my daughters was the following;
"Girls, learn how you can support your immune systems
for the coming days."
Digestive Health is Key
As you know this begins
with a healthy digestive
system to support the
systems of the body. The
current research is showing
us the importance of a
healthy, balanced
intestinal environment.
The Might of Micro-Organisms
Research shows that micro-
organisms such as bacillus
coagulans, probiotics and
acidophilus are factors in
the body's production
of B-12 and Folic Acid
within the body.

7
Essential Enzymes
Enzymes are the 'spark
of life'! :) Enzymes
support digestion of
various food
types. Enzymes are
found in organic live,
raw food.
Historical Experience
The men who survived
the winter of Valley
Forge with George
Washington ate the
bark of the trees of the
nutritious slippery
elm. This is one
nutritious food I want
in my food storage.
The Case for Fiber
Fiber is essential for the
support of the intestinal
system. Fiber is part of
regularity and is vital for
good health. An organic
apple a day is helpful and we
need more according to the
American Heart Association.

Developing Immune Strength
Supporting the
digestive system can
help in supporting the
immune system.
What then are the key
nutrients to assist in
support of the
immune system?
Power House
Ingredients such as; Beta-glucans, arabinogalactan,
colostrum, cordyceps mycelia, reishi mushroom mycelia
and mitake whole mushroom are historically known for
immune system support.
Beta-Glucans
Beta-glucans stimulate the action of the immune system.
They support the production of macrophages, T-cells, B-
cells, natural killer cells and cytokines, all of which
supports the body's natural defense system.

9
Arabinogalactan
Arabinogalactan supports natural killer cell and
macrophage activity. It also supports production of
beneficial types of bacteria.
A healthy immune system can begin being nourished at
an early age. Colostrum occurs when the baby first is
nursing from the Mother.
Rich in protein and
immune-enhancing
transfer factors
colostrum supports
the immune system
of the newborn.
Colostrum
Cordyceps
Cordyceps increases
T-cell and B-cell activity,
important to immune
response. In the 1990's
the winning Chinese
women's running team
utilized cordyceps to
increase energy, stamina
and endurance.

Reishi and Maitake Mushrooms
Reishi and Maitake
mushrooms are thought to
support immune activity
support the activation of
natural killer cells and
support macrophages.
Elderberry
Elderberry has long been used to support several
systems of the body. The immune system can also be
supported when combining elderberries, vitamin D3,
echinacea, willow bark, royal jelly, and olive leaf. What a
combo for kids and adults to give their
bodies real foods!
East Meets West
Chinese and Western Herbs come
together to create complimentary
immune support in herbal
ingredients. The Chinese
Traditional Medicine of 6000 years
and modern America's Health Care
of close 200 years can work
together for the health benefits of
the people world wide.

Olive Leaf
A singular herb Olive Leaf
helps support protection
against unwanted
invaders while supporting
several systems including
the immune system.
Silver
The history of silver goes
back for centuries. Back
in the time of Roman, the
Romans used silver coins
in barrels of water for
purification. Silver was
used in WW I in the
badgesand today is
being widely used and
stored.
Preparedness
I like to carry with me
liquid silver in a 2-3
oz spray bottle and silver
gel for my hands and face
I love feeling good.:)

Preparedness
Another part of my preparedness kit
is: activated charcoal, ginger, black
walnut, B vitamins, vitamin C and
my favorite products for adapting to
occasional stress include arnica,
flower essences and essential oils.
Iodine
A natural food Iodine is found
in black walnut. Also food
iodine can be found in
seaweeds such as kelp and
dulse. Iodine is a trace
mineral that supports thyroid
health. We want to know and
have on hand what we will
need to stay healthy.
Super Foods for Me
• Protein powder made from peas, beans, and rice, with
additions super foods, vitamins, minerals, amino acids
• Bee Pollen that contains up to 35% protein, 22 amino
acids, 27 minerals salts, B vitamins, trace elements, enzymes
• Spirulina naturally contains protein representing all 8 essential
amino acids, as well as chelated minerals, natural sugars, trace
minerals, enzymes. Spirulina is one of the best food sources
of B-12!
• Slippery Elm is very nourishing and soothing for the digestive
and intestine system
• Minerals that include at least 70 minerals in powder, capsules,

Tailor to Your Needs
According to studies most of us can benefit from a daily multiple
vitamin and mineral for adults and children. It’s vital to have
available our supplements in forms that is best for the person that
needs it:
• Chewables for kids of any age
• Liquid vitamins, minerals, herbs
• Powdered foods of protein, veggies & fruits, and more that can be added to
water
• Probiotics that do not need refrigeration and chewable probiotics
Super Sleep
One of the key factors in remaining
calm during occasional stress. My
favorite tropical herb for being calm
and a good night's sleep is kava.
Adding a good night's sleep and
resting our bodies and minds is a
great way to support the immune
system.
Don’t Forget These…
Of course, we love the
old timers of valerian,
hops, chamomile,
passion flower and
magnesium

The Time Is Now
"The Time Is Now" to prepare, by having well thoughtout
plans from A-Z.
We like to buy when products are on sale, promotions
and specials. Bonuses are helpful too!.
We should plan for a minimum of 1 year of supplies
and/or up to 5 or more years.
We plan for ourselves, families, communities as there is
the possibility of sharing and trading,
Thank You!!!!!
Thank you to each of you for your interest, concern and
big hearts to help others and build communities of
health.
