$66.8 million in cleanup costsThe state Superfund program has paid for more than $66.8 million in pollution cleanup costs for PCB-confirmed or suspected sites in Washington, Saratoga and Warren counties in the vicinity of General Electric plants in Fort Edward and Hudson Falls, where the toxic chemical was used. Whether the state will ultimately recover any of the money remains an open question.
