Although winter saw quieter days we were kept busy with the nomination of the Top Shop Awards. To be involved in these awards, a loyal client/s nominates you – so a big thank you to you! It was a lovely surprise and honour; we appreciate the opportunity very much.

As I sit perched on a treatment bed receiving an amazing pedicure from the lovely Alanza, while writing and prepping this newsletter we don’t know the actual outcome of the awards, however what we do know is it has made us even more aware of what we are doing and who we are doing it for - YOU of course!!

So with that in mind we do trust you enjoy our service, our treatments, and with every visit to our salon you are treated as Queens or Kings (to our male clients) because without we wouldn’t have a fantastic and exciting profession.

I would also like this opportunity to let you know we now have the superb Natasha Fallon back from her family trip to the UK. Natasha is available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays and would love to see her past clients.

For the Eleventh year now I am off to Wellington to WOW (World of WearableArts) Awards Show in September as their Makeup Designer and Consultant so I have included a WOW special.

Alanza is from Cape Town, South Africa. She achieved her Cidesco International Qualification in 1987, and has almost 23 years experience in the beauty therapy industry. Alanza believes in life-long learning and has since done various post graduate courses, i.e. reflexology, aromatherapy, advanced skin and body treatments plus many more.

Her career experience has ranged from working in beauty salons, on board spas and teaching beauty therapy. She also did tutoring at Cleopatra and Steiner Beauty Training Centre in Dubai, UAE. Alanza also gained further international experience working on board the QE2 Cruise Liner, travelling from New York to Malta, Norway to Southampton, the Caribbean any many more exciting places.
