Flowers are the most beautiful creations. They bloom in various colors and shapes. Seeing them is a joy forever.

Even the flowers of the same species bloom in different forms, colors and tinges. The sweet smell of flowers makes the air pleasant to breathe.

The scent of flowers is used in the preparation of different types of perfumes. Flowers are used in the preparation of hair oil and other cosmetics. .

Aromatic oils are extracted from different kinds of flowers to cure various health disorders.

Flowering plants are gifts of Mother Nature to humanity and to our planet Earth. The flowering plants add beauty to Earth. Earth laughs in flowers.

Flowers feed insects, birds, animals and humans. They provide natural medicines for humans and some animals.

Honey is the natural medicine obtained from the nectar of flowers. Honey is a soothing agent. It is a substitute for sugar for diabetics.

Flowers are offered to Gods and Goddesses. They are used in all festivals. They are used for welcoming guests and dignitaries. They are used in making garlands, ornaments and in decorations.

The aroma, color and the beauty of flowers have miraculous healing properties. The sick persons recover fast if they are given flowers every day.

Dried petals of flowers can be used in several ways. Dried petals are used in the preparation of green tea. This tea brings down high blood pressure and acts as a cure for several ailments.

Dried petals of flowers can be soaked in honey or sugar syrup and taken internally. This mixture contains phytochemicals and antioxidants. These mixtures when taken every day promote health and prevent diseases.

Mix dried flower powder with cold milk and make it into a paste and use it as a face pack. Skin is nourished by the essential nutrients present in the paste. This will ward off acne, pimples, and other skin diseases.

Flowers whither and fall on the Earth. The dried flowers are rich in nitrates and form soil nutrients. The flowering plants host the bacteria Rhizobia, in the root nodule and helps in fixing atmospheric Nitrogen in the soil.

The life of flowers has many moral values. They teach us to live for the pleasure of others. They teach us that a small life well lived is far better than a long life badly lived.

Arrangement of their petals in a systematic way teaches us to lead a systematic and disciplined life. They smile even in thorny surroundings, which teach us the art of living.

They share sweet fragrance with everybody irrespective of caste and creed teaches us broad-mindedness.

Flowers are fragile but very strong. They are not affected by hot sun, thunderstorm, or gusty wind in their short life span. This teach us courage and not to lose heart even in the days of adversity.

Flowers are short-lived. They die quickly. During the short span of life, they become food to birds, animals and insects. While they live, they spread their aroma, radiate their color and make us joyful.

Flowers are valuable treasure to humanity and to our Planet. They have several medicinal values. We are benefitted by the flowers. They are blessing to our Mother Nature as they have potent resources.

Man should follow the moral values that flowers teach. “Live like Flowers” should be the right attitude for us.

Man should strive hard to conserve flowers and propagate them as several species of flowers are endangered and in future they may become extinct.

Grow flowers in pots. Develop flower garden. Flowers nourish the mind, body and soul.
