IN  THE ARC  FURNACE  THE  INPUT CHARGE  IS  LOADED AND ELECTRODES ARE INSERTED AS REQUIRED BY THE PROCESS.

LOT  OF  HOT  GASES  ARE  GENERATED  IN  THE  PROCESS  OF METAL MELTING & THESE GASES ARE PULLED  THROUGH A WATER COOLED DUCT WITH THE HELP OF AN I.D. FAN.

BAG FILTER IS PROVIDED TO REMOVE DUST PARTICLES WITH INLET AIR BLEED ARRANGEMENT.

MAJOR  PART  OF  HEAT  IS  REJECTED  TO  ATMOSPHERE THROUGH  COOLING  TOWER  AND  BALANCE  IS  REJECTED THROUGH I.D. FAN EXHAUST. 

THIS HEAT ENERGY IS WASTED WITHOUT ANY UTILIZATION.

THE HEAT  PRESENTLY  BEING WASTED  TO ATMOSPHERE WILL BE USED FOR GENERATION OF MEDIUM PRESSURE STEAM

THIS  MEDIUM  PRESSURE  STEAM  WILL  BE  SUPPLIED  TO  A CONDENSING  MULTISTAGE  STEAM  TURBINE  GENERATOR  TO PRODUCE ELECTRIC POWER

CONDENSATE  FROM  CONDENSER  WILL  BE  RECYCLED  TO BOILER.

NEW SYSTEM WILL BE  INSTALLED  IN PARALLEL WITH EXISTING SYSTEM WITH A DIVERTER VALVE

THE  FURNACE  CAN WORK WITHOUT  ANY  PROBLEM  EVEN  IF THERE IS ANY MAINTENANCE ON NEW SYSTEM

STATE‐OF‐THE‐ART CONTROL SYSTEM

STEAM ACCUMULATORS PROVIDED TO SUPPLY STEAM DURING IDLE TIME TO STEAM TURBINE. 

AUTOMATIC  PRESSURE  CONTROL  SYSTEM  PROVIDES  STEADY STEAM PRESSURE AT TURBINE INLET.

BOILER  IS  LOCATED  IN  BYPASS MODE WITH  PARALLEL  DUCT (EXISTING) ALWAYS AVAILABLE FOR FLUE GAS FLOW. THIS WILL ENSURE  THAT  THE  SYSTEM  WILL  NOT  CAUSE  ABRUPT STOPPAGE OF OUR SYSTEM.

COMPLETE  SYSTEM  WILL  HAVE  AUTOMATIC  CONTROL  SAFE OPERATION OF BOILER AS WELL AS YOUR FURNACE.

PROTECTION FROM COLD END CORROSION

MINIMUM  METAL  TEMPERATURE  REQUIRED  FOR AVOIDING COLD END CORROSION  IS 121 DEG. C FOR FUEL WITH SULPHUR CONTENT OF 4%.

THE METAL TEMPERATURE OF ALL TUBES  IN EVAPORATOR (MAIN  BOILER)  AND  ECONOMIZER  IN  PARTICULAR  IS MAINTAINED  ABOVE  THIS  LEVEL  TO  AVOID  COLD  END CORROSION.

IN  ECONOMIZER,  TEMPERATURE  CORRECTION  SYSTEM  IS PROVIDED TO MAINTAIN METAL TEMPERATURE SINCE FEED WATER TEMPERATURE IS LOWER THAN 121 DEG.C
