The Sunspot cycle
Every 11 years or so, the sun hits a maximum limit for sunspots and then will quickly “reset” to practically zero almost like a recycling of solar material.
Sunspots and Magnetic fields? Studies have shown a field of immense
proportion in all sunspots. All of these are about 1000 times more
powerful than the surrounding magnetic field. It is believed that these are caused by the
overall magnetic field cooling the area of the sunspot thereby leaving an intense field around the area.
