Sunseeker® Shade Carolina Cardigan

Designed by Edie Eckman

Open mesh and ¾-length sleeves make this a perfect top layer for those hot summer days down South. Worked from the top down in one piece, you can easily make it longer or shorter.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Sizes: Women's XS (S, M, L, XL)

Materials: Cascade Yarns® Sunseeker® Shade 50% Cotton / 50% Acrylic 100 g (3.5 oz) / 246 yds (225 m) 3 (4, 4, 5, 5) skeins color #18 (Dark Denim) Crochet Hook Size H/8 (5 mm) or size to obtain gauge 5 stitch markers 5 - ¾” (20 mm) Buttons, 3/4"

Finished Dimensions: Bust: 33 (37, 43, 47, 53)"- [84 (94, 109, 119.5, 134.5) cm], buttoned Length: 23½ (24½, 24½, 24½, 25½)" - [60 (62, 62, 62, 65) cm]

Gauge: 4 Ch-5 spaces and 8 rows/rnds = 4" (10 cm) in Shell Mesh pattern, measured flat To save time, take time to check gauge.

Note: The mesh nature of this fabric makes gauge a bit tricky to measure. If your stitch gauge is a bit wide and your row gauge a bit short, try rearranging your gauge swatch to lengthen (and narrow) the gauge. As the sweater hangs, it will become longer and narrower, as well.

Abbreviations: Ch = Chain dc = Double Crochet Dec = Decrease Inc = Increase Rep = Repeat Rnd(s) = Round(s) RS = Right Side Sc = Single crochet Sc2tog = Single crochet 2 together st(s) = stitch(es) WS = Wrong Side

Pattern Notes: When counting ch-spaces when working in Rows, the number of spaces on even-numbered (wrong side) rows is one more than on odd-numbered (right side) rows.
