3. Third Party Software

VII. MAJOR SOFTWARE ADDITIONS/DELETIONS/CHANGES

Product Version Add/Delete Commentsscim entries in cron n/a Delete Removed scim entries from cron. The post proc

execution of msscsa during the GI install processwill randomize times for scim entries on the target

server.

IX. SPECIAL PRE-INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS

Live Upgrade and the /etc/passwd file --Once the luupgrade command has been executed, the flash archive has been successfully loaded, and

before gi_install.ksh is executed, you must copy the file, /etc/passwd.1009 to /etc/passwd, using thecommand –

# cp –p /etc/passwd.0218 /etc/passwd

This is because Live Upgrade does not preserve the /etc/passwd file from the 08Q1 Solaris 10 GI.NOTE: A case has been opened with Sun and will be tracked until there is a permanent solution. In themeantime, copying the file, /etc/passwd.0218 to /etc/passwd is the official workaround from Sun.
