I believe in God. By: Roula Elias

Sitting in a pew at a Church, the sun was

in my face, so I moved to the side. Minutes

later the sun was in my face again, so I

moved again. That kept on happening, and I

complained to God, reproachingly: "The sun

is like You God, it won't leave me alone!"

God won't leave me alone, and that is the

best news! In countless ways, His

transfigured love pierces my heart and soul; I

don't know that I still dare ask Him, as when

I was a child, to see Him, for I don't think I

could withstand the brightness of His infinite

love!

Yet, God and I, we haven't always been on

good terms. Layers and layers of fear I

discover...Discouragement, at times

despair... I slip my hand out of His...But He

Is Faithful! He picks me up and...spins me in

a happy dance, this God of consolation and

joy! At other times, I have to be patient with

Him, I figured; Thankfully a friend spiritual

director told me that Moses once said

something like that.. I had laughed to tears

asking myself:" Really? Who do you think

you are?"

God I adore and I thank You. Forgive our

sins. Hear our petitions. Amen.
