Kids Worship
During Discovery Ridge Worship, children age 3 - 5th grade learn about the
elements of worship including prayer, music, offering, worship, and the sermon.
Children K - 2nd grade meet in Room E-106 before going to Discovery Ridge
Worship. Children 3rd - 5th grade gather in the sanctuary for adult worship and
then exit for Discovery Ridge Worship. Children age 3 - 5 have Discovery Ridge
Worship in the Fellowship Hall at the beginning of adult worship, then return to
their classroom.
Newborns through age 2 are invited to join us in our exciting Sprouts classrooms
located in the Education Building. Visit the Welcome Center for complete details
and location of classrooms. All children should be picked up in the Education
Building after morning worship.
Interpreting for worship services is available. Please schedule other interpreting
services with the church office.

Becoming a Christian
God loves us. Sin separates us from God. Jesus’ death on the cross and
resurrection have paid our debt and re-connects us with God. You become a
Christian when you, by faith, ask for forgiveness for your sins, repent from them,
and receive God’s free gift of salvation. If you have made this decision, we would
love to celebrate it with you during the time of invitation at the end of the
worship service. If you have questions about Christianity please speak with one of
our Welcome Team members or our pastors.
Becoming a Member
Anyone is eligible to become a part of this family of faith regardless of
denominational tradition or faith background. You may join by becoming a
Christian or by your statement that you are a Christian. Simply come forward
during the invitation at the end of a worship service. New members are also
required to attend our Membership Class Journey 101.
Welcome! Thank you for joining us in today’s worship.

We are in need of 2 cookie trays or snacks, new bottles, bibs and little books to make up
20 gift baskets for the baby shower. Items need to be returned by next Sunday, May 19. If
you would like to help with this opportunity, please contact Kate Kinnaird (455-5671 /

Ladies & gentlemen, we will be holding a Bandana Sewing Night for all those who want
to come join the fun. We need Sewers (and their machines), Folks to Iron, Ribbon
Threaders, and more. There’s lots to do, so if you can’t sew, it’s OK - we still have
something for you to do. The dresses will be sold to help offset the cost of medical
supplies needed for the Medical Mission Trip to Africa at the end of the summer. You can
also donate bandana’s and ribbon (two (2) bandanas & two (2) yards of ribbon [at least
1”wide] per dress) if you want to help support us in this way. Hobby Lobby and Wal-
Mart have a great selection. Snacks will be provided. For questions or more information
