Sunday School for the Fall:

For next fall, our Sunday education classes need the help of a few volunteers. The youth class depends on the leadership of a number of people, assisting perhaps once a month, each. For the adult class, that is appreciated by many, we are open to ideas for topics and guest speakers! For the younger children (ages SK to Grade 6), another volunteer to assist with teaching would be greatly appreciated. See Karl

Dick if you have any ideas or are willing to help. Thanks for your consideration.

HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Healthy Reflections – Body, Mind and Spirit

Difficult Conversations – Conversations worth having:

Advance Care Planning is when we identify who would make healthcare and personal decisions for us if we were unable to do so. This will involve identifying who you would want to make these decisions and then having a conversation with them about your wishes. When should Advance Care Planning happen? Now, yesterday and all the time. Advance Care Planning should be an ongoing conversation. As your health status changes or as life unfolds your views or wishes may also change.

The more your Substitute Decision Maker (or Power of Attorney for Personal Care) understands how you see things the easier it will be for them to make important decisions as you would want them made. Difficult? Yes, but these are conversations worth having. For more information - Advanced Care Planning Waterloo Wellington 519-743-4114

Note: The Parish Nurse is on vacation from June 29th to July 15

th inclusive.

During this time there will not be any drop-in clinics at Waterloo Mennonite Homes or at the church. Clinics will resume at normal times on July 18

th at

WMH and July 20th at W-KUM.

Please contact your healthcare provider for non-urgent health concerns or 911 or the Emergency Department for all urgent and

emergency health concerns.
