Margene Chubb and family in the loss of her husband,

Charlie, who passed away on June 8 at Conway Medical

Center after a lengthy illness. Charlie was a much sought after tour driver

before retiring from Sunway Bus Co.

Paul Batten and family in the loss of his wife, Lula, on June 13, after

a brief illness. She was 85 years old and a charter member of OVBC since 1964.

Sarah and Rich Trisler and family in the recent sudden loss of their 14-month

old nephew, Charlie, in Florida. Charlie was the son of Rich’s sister.

Carol Stoner and family in the June 17th death of her husband, David, who

died after a lengthy illness at a hospital in Charlotte, NC. Also, remember his

son, Mark and his wife, Jenny, and their family in your thoughts and prayers.

Andy and Jennifer Pearson and family, in the loss of his grandmother, Doris

Anderson, who died on June 19, in Decatur, GA, at the age of 95.

On July 11, thirty-four students and adults will leave OVBC and travel to

Portsmouth, VA, to participate in a World Changers Mission effort! The

group will be involved in a construction-style mission and will be returning

to us on July 16. Pray for this to be a time of blessing and growing in Christ

for each member of the team and for those whom they endeavor to help!

Packaged Snacks (P. Butter Crackers, Cheese Crackers, Pretzels, Chips/ Cookies, Healthy Snacks, Fruit Snacks); Toilet Paper (Indiv. or 2/4 pk.); Indiv. Pkgs. of Deodorant; Shampoo and/or Conditioner; Cases of Bottled Water; Sunblock/Sunscreen (High SPF); and Lip Balm Block (High SPF). Please leave in the designated Lifeguard Missions box in the N. Hallway for distribution and pick up, or you may donate monetarily for these items so they can be bought in bulk. Deadline for donations is August 2. Attend Wendy Clay Women on Mission meeting on Monday, July 25, in the Church Parlor to hear reports about the Student Mexico Mission trip! Tommy Moore is arranging for an adult, as well as, some students to share some powerful experiences from their recent mission trip to Mexico. Refreshments are served at 6:45 p.m., with the program beginning at 7:00 p.m. Come and see how God is using our youth in Mexico!

Club 180 ̶ Teen Center Makes an Impact in Cumberland, KY! The Burkeen’s prayer is that God will use Club 180 to reach kids for His Kingdom and to impact the small town of Cumberland, KY. As young people come through the doors of Club 180, Terry and Angie Burkeen serve snacks to alleviate their physical hunger and pave the way for witnessing about a Heavenly Father who loves them and cares about their spiritual hunger.

Items needed: Paper Towels & Toilet Paper; Paper Plates & Cups; Indiv.-sz. Candy Bars & Chips; and Canned Drinks. Thanks for helping to make an im-pact at Club 180! Please place donations in the container on the Literature table.

► Student Prayer Breakfast for MB area: Every Wednesday, 7 am, at K&W Restaurant, 7900 N. Kings in MB. No Prayer breakfast on 7/13—will resume on 7/20.

► Wanna take a deeper look into the Bible in a small group setting? Wanna hang out with friends on the beach? Then come on out to “Meet at the Beach!” Join us on Tuesdays from 11am to 1pm on the beach at 78th Ave North. Be sure to bring your Bible, a towel, sunscreen, and a bathing suit. Also, either pack a lunch or make arrangements to grab some food somewhere afterwards. We’re going to have a devotional, fun, and fellowship, and we look forward to seeing you there! So let’s MEET AT THE BEACH! No Meet at the Beach on 7/12—will resume on 7/19.

To those going on the World Changers trip: Make sure you’ve turned in the required forms! Also, the NAMB has communicated the follow- ing rules regarding dress code, and all MUST dress accordingly: On the job site, we are required to wear jeans/long pants, t-shirts, and closed-toed shoes. (Sorry, but NO shorts, tank tops, flip-flops, or sandals!) Back at the school, we may choose to wear MODEST shorts and open-toed shoes, but still NO tank tops. Pack accordingly!

Sunday, October 23—Saturday, October 29, 2011: we’re going to Nashville, TN! Six nights and seven days—total cost of $585, with a deposit of $200 required when you sign up!! Balance will be collected in two equal payments. Cost includes: 6 breakfasts, 4 dinners, 2 great shows, and lots of sightseeing!
