Sacristy renovation is finished!!

The painting of the sacristy and alcove has been accomplished. We had to seek help of professional company but we are also grateful to parishioners who voluntarily offered their help, especially the cleaning ministry who tirelessly kept the area tidy. There is some wood work to be done at later time. St. Anthony statue is located now above the door next to the confessional. He will be overlooking all those who were lost but found their way to God in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Euthanasia/Assisted Suicide – Did You Know?

The Government of Canada passed legislation in June

2016, legalizing euthanasia/assisted suicide. Despite

wording intended to protect doctors and facilities, the

College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario is

forcing health care workers to arrange for the killing of

their patients. No other country does this. Provinces

across Canada do not do this. Yet, Ontario refuses to

protect doctors who object to ending the life of their

patients. Please visit www.CanadiansforConsicence.ca

to learn more and write directly to your elected

Member of Provincial Parliament. >>>>>>>>>> ------ <<<<<<<<<

Remembering in prayer There are two new boards located at the front of the church. The one is below St. Joseph’s statue and the other beneath St. Therese’s statue. St. Joseph is considered as the patron saint of the dying therefore we will publish on his board the names of deceased parishioners and those we have assisted with the funeral services at funerals homes or cemeteries. St. Therese was known of her child-like spirituality therefore on her board we will be publishing the names of the baptized parishioners. Looking at these names we will remember those who were born for Christ in this world (Baptism) and in the world to come (Death). Every year we will be start publishing the names from the beginning. Please take advantage of this opportunity and include these names in your individual prayer.

2nd Sunday of Advent Meditation: God is leading Israel in joy by the light of his glory, with his mercy and justice for company. Baruch 5

We begin this second week of our Advent journey with this wonderful proclamation of the end of our exile. We really can take off our robe of misery and put on the splendour of the glory of God forever. Let us experience today what it will be like to be freed from the power of our sins to hold us captive, freed from our longing, fulfilled in our desire, that we might be set free. (http://onlineministries.creighton.edu/)

Entrance Antiphon: People of Zion, behold, the Lord will come to save the nations, and the Lord will make the glory of his voice heard in the joy of your heart.
