Women’s Ministry Christmas luncheon—was postponed and will now be held on Saturday, December 9, 2018. There is a sign-up sheet on the

information table. Please sign up today if you will be coming

and the total number of guests. Please bring a hot dish and salad or a hot dish and dessert.

From the Christian Education Committee—There are still several stars on the fall display fence with names of children. You still have time to take a star and give a gift of a cap and gloves (mittens) to a child. Please warm your heart and theirs by selecting a name and bringing the cap and gloves wrapped for Christmas with the child’s name on the gift by December 16, 2018. Thank you.

From the Christian Education Committee--The Christmas program has been changed from Sunday night, December 16th to Sunday morning, December 23rd at 10:00 am. The service will run from 10:00-11:30 am. There will be no Sunday School that day.

Clipboards—if someone would like to take over the job of sharpening pencils and restocking paper for the clipboards that the children use during church, please see Diane

Christmas caroling---Pastor Mike and Diane are organizing a caroling party on Sunday, December 9th. Carolers are to meet at the church at 2:00 pm. If you would like to go caroling, sign up at the table in the foyer. If you would like the carolers to come to your home, then please sign up there also so the carolers can plan their route accordingly.

Byron Bible Camp is hosting a Young Adult Retreat on December 28-29, 2018 for anyone ages 18-38 years old, married or not. There are brochures on the information table if you want to read more about it. Registration is due by Sunday, December 23rd.

Sympathy Card---there is a sympathy card for District Minister Rick and Esther Eshbaugh on the information table if you would like to write and send them your condolences upon the death of their daughter. Our church will also be sending flowers.

The funeral for Tanya Eshbaugh Holt will be at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Clay Center, KS on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Visitation will start at 9:30 am with a service at 11:00 am. A lunch will follow. The cemetery service will be in Steele City, NE at 2:00 pm. Please continue to pray for Rick and Esther and the family.

The US Board of Faith and Life would like to issue an invitation for you to attend a Study Conference on the topic of “The Bible and Women in Pastoral Ministry”. This conference is scheduled for January 14-16, 2019 in Tempe, AZ. It is open for anyone in our US MB family that would like to learn more about what the Bible says on this topic. All information about the event is on the national website at www.usmb.org . Pastor Mike will be attending as he is on this national board.
